Having insomnia was inconvenient sometimes, especially at that current moment. Riley should have been at home with Alexander, making his boyfriend smile sleepily as they climbed into bed for a nap. However, he’d needed some space, and as such, went for a walk. One that turned interesting. Riley shouldn’t have stayed. He should have left as soon as the other did, done with their crime. But no, the blood had drawn them in and now they were being approached, by someone annoyingly important looking. Riley sighed softly, and looked away from the covered body, pursing his lips. “Do you have to?” He asked, voice strained, but not for reasons the agent would probably think.

“Yeah, I’ll see you around Charlie. And listen, hey, if you keep lifting like that, you’re going to give me a run for my money.” Finn winked and laughed. Charlie smiled and flexed a little before waving and walking out of the station. As he waved goodbye to his coworker, Finn collected his jacket out of his locker and prepared to head home. The firefighter was tired after a long shift, but his demeanor was happy nevertheless. Just when he closed his locker he caught sight of a pair of eyes looking his way. “Oh hey! Was I, uh, supposed to be expecting you?”

“I don’t think you’re ever expecting me, Finnegan,” Riley replied, smiling at the fact that he had caught the other offguard. It had been pure coincidence that he stumbled upon Finn’s familiar voice while walking about the city. Riley hadn’t really had any plans, other than to give Alexander space to do their work, but this seemed a mighty fine idea. Catching up with Finn would be fun. “How have you been?”
