hanahaki is such a good idea with him because lynx is so stubborn. he'll stay sick and coughing up flowers before admitting to himself (god forbid anyone else) that he was wrong, he's not straight
mmm in my head, vale would be angry/frustrated finding out. not that lynx has feelings for him, but that lynx was stuck in his own head enough he'd give himself hanahaki before using his words. vale might be the most charismatic of the group, but that falters when he's heated enough to not remember that "you idiot, what's wrong with you?" isn't what someone that's (1) desperately in love with him and (2) physically suffering will want to hear. he follows it up with "you knew no one was gonna judge you for it, you had to know i wouldn't be upset," which almost helps
