Since some of the Alastors have Doe parts does that mean they get periods? If they do how their s/o from their AU (vox or Lucifer) take care of them. As well for the emotional turmoil, how Vox would he feel if Alastor had periods

i kinda thought about this for a second but then stopped thinking bc if i have aus where they can have babies then yeah logically they DO have moons (thats what we call periods in my culture). But I wouldn't make it as frequent as every month! Possibly 3 times a year instead

Rare example of Jamil speaking nicely about Azul in front of others! Imagine him calling Azul "NRC's top businessman" to his face, without including a barb of some sort... and, of course, there's the fact that he knows Azul's psyche so intimately, and is willing to demonstrate this in front of others. Even Jade said that waking Azul would mean forcing him to "reject this happy dream"; Jamil was the only one to voice why this dream isn't actually happy for him.

anyways, just throwing this one in here too, because it's one of my favorite jamiazu interactions, and I can't just leave it out of a b7 dream conversation. purely because there was no reason for it to exist, and yet it does. I've never been able to work out Jamil's angle here, because why is he flirting back.

(the last bit sounds so much like duo magic that part of me expected it to be the lines for OB Jamil. wouldn't be the first time duo lines were said in-game! still, no complaints about what it ended up being 🙂‍↕️)

That first screenshot... it's such a compelling parallel to the book four conversation at the edge of the desert, where Azul is able to articulate why Jamil is unhappy and is the first to express urgency in pulling him out of the overblot. There we see how Azul understands Jamil's unhappiness, here we see how Jamil understands Azul's happiness. In both cases they're the mouthpiece to explain to the audience the character motivations of the other. It truly feels like a balancing of the scales.

Truly the only reasons Jamil could have for that final exchange are 1) he just enjoys their banter and 2) he felt like Azul could use some reassurance/encouragement (albeit delivered in a sarcastic, condescending way). I like to think it's a bit of both. He just enjoys doing this nonsense with Azul (e.g. the entirety of Tapis Rouge, although he was never this nice); it's a pleasant development in their relationship, showing how they play off each other without animosity these days. I mean, look at their faces:

They are relishing this. As I said, Jamil recognized that this sort of exchange would serve as a pick-me-up for Azul, who was very embarrassed by his dream, even if he only expressed that in 7.5 (to Jamil!). And it did cheer him up: look at him, raring to go.

azul has absolutely spent the last year mentioning his wonderfully intriguing classmate at every turn. they totally know. and they are totally reacting like this because they're looking forward to seeing azul make a fool of himself in front of his crush.

Describing Azul’s abilities after his evaluation at STYX, Idia says. “Azul’s a relatively slow caster, but he’s got precision and control.”

According to Ortho Azul’s magic pool is not large enough to sustain the wide range of spells that he utilizes, and Idia guesses that that is why Azul is so careful about when he uses them: “Like, he’s banking on his quick thinking to make up for his lack of reserves, or something. And his signature spell requires the use of a magic item, so he can’t use it whenever. Azul’s definitely an ‘always be cautious’ kinda guy.”

Ortho describes Azul’s spell-casting style as “basically the opposite of Riddle Rosehearts’,” and we see a direct comparison between the two while they fight through Tartarus together (Azul: “I could never waste my reserves like that”).

Riddle scolds Azul for being overcautious while Azul argues against “the brute-force option,” but as time goes on Riddle becomes impressed by Azul using targeted strikes to conserve his magic, saying that he will try to follow Azul’s example.

Azul struggles with carrying the thunder spear with his own magic for long, leading to Riddle taking over. 

When asked how old he Wass when he first learned to use magic, Azul explains, “I learned basic things like pulling objects toward myself about when I was eight. Both my grandmother and mother are mages, and they taught me some fundamentals, nut I wasn’t always a keen learner, and my family was more laid-back. They didn’t ask much of me except that I do my homework. I didn’t start studying magic in earnest until around the time I started middle school.”

This is apparently a sensitive point for Azul, who says he “knows how spoiled (he) was” and that he regrets wasting so much: “I resolved to do better, and threw myself into studying everything | could…But it’s frustrating to see so clearly the difference between me and someone who’s worked hard their whole life. If only l’d gotten an earlier start.”

Despite his late start, Azul seems very magically proficient. Crowley says that “the strength of magic is strength of imagination,” and Idia says that the structure of Azul’s dream is “really thorough,” proving that he has “definitely got a strong imagination…Recreating his environment to accommodate his changes covers up any inconsistencies that clash with reality. Or, to put it a better way —this dream is set up to stop paradoxes from arising in the first place.”
