5 More RichJake Headcanons. Look here for part 1

i suggest reading my past headcanons if you haven’t already because i make references in these ones to those

- Jake used to sleep text during high school and when he and Rich got closer, Rich became the #1 victim for this occurrence. Sometimes it would just be random numbers or letter, sometimes it would be actual words that didn’t really make sense together. But a couple times he’d send a message with Rich’s name in the text because his fingers were used to typing his name out. After high school was over and they moved in together, Jake mostly stopped accidentally sleep texting people, but it would occasionally still happen.

- After the SQUIPS, Jake obviously couldn’t be on the wrestling team (or really any sports teams) anymore. Around the middle of senior year, Jake was able to do more physical activities. He rejoined archery but not football and it was too risky to do wrestling. Rich quit the wrestling team too, without Jake there it really bummed him out. But once Jake was able to do more physical activities again, like participate in gym, they started wrestling one on one after school. Rich obviously for many rounds before Jake could keep up. But Jake began to regain his ability and confidence in his moves, resulting in him winning some rounds. Rich would act bitter about it, but deep down he was really just happy to see that Jake was finally able to do what he loved again. Watching Jake beam in victory made Rich’s heart swell with pride.

- Rich and Jake aren’t very codependent on each other like some other couples (cough cough boyf riends), and sometimes they struggle to see the purpose in doing things that most people would consider normal, couple like activities. For example, Rich doesn’t like wearing Jake’s clothing out in public. They wear the same size clothing when it comes to sweatshirts and shirts, but even if it’s just like a regular t-shirt that people wouldn’t even know is Jake’s, Rich doesn’t want to be seen wearing it out in public. Rich likes to be his own person outside of Jake, especially after the SQUIP. But in the comfort of their own apartment or house, Rich gladly wears Jake’s clothes. He kind of gets a little shy around Jake if he sees him doing it, but it’s just because he’s unused to being perceived as trusting and vulnerable enough to wear someone else’s clothes.

- After Jake’s pitbull dies (😢😢), they get another dog. It’s a dachshund named Lucy (literally it’s Gerard Canonico’s dog). They’re both very active people, but because their new dog is smaller, they bring a backpack to carry her in whenever they go on hikes so if she gets tired they can carry her that way. They also make sure to bring her only on trails that they knew there won’t be any sort of cyclists or really high drops because they’re overprotective of her and want to limit ways of her getting hurt as much as possible.

- In typical Jake celebration fashion, their wedding was equivalent to a rager. They wanted everyone they knew and love to come celebrate their marriage with them. However, even with all the lights and the drinks and the loud music, Rich and Jake found a moment for just them where they held each other and just swayed along to the very unswayable music. It was so erotic and party-like, but that’s how Rich and Jake always were. They always found quiet moments together when everything was loud, they wanted their marriage to be exciting and fun. They didn’t need a slow dance.
