"Yes. Well...Not completely, there were some remains, a chunk of land with my tower.
"My children are okay! Thank the stars for that. And so are any visitors I had at the time. However, whats left is cast to the Void...A different layer from this one, as I understand."
"The cause is some...Self proclaimed agent of Time itself! A real, forgive my language, total ass. According to them, my existence was so against whats supposed to happen, my timeline deserved to be destroyed.
"...I can't doubt their power though...Recently, I...Have a hard time recalling large chunks of my life before I became this. And when I visited the universe my timeline originated from, I...Just feel like I don't belong anymore."
"My my... I really have missed much then, haven't I? Thank goodness the little ones came out ok in the end. It sounds like quite the catastrophe."
*Lucida's tail curls against her side, and it prompts her to take it between her hands to wring and fiddle with as she processed her thoughts.
"...It's funny, isn't it?" She looks to the 'stars' that flickered above them.
"We've outgrown the homes that birthed us. To the point of feeling... out of place."
"I know, I know, still."
He sits down as she accepts the offer to, legs outstretched with one bent up to rest an arm on. He stares up at the view here, in this space between the worlds.
"Beautiful, is it not? Other worlds, universes...Like stars in the sky. To think so few could ever see anything like this..."
Angelo lets the silence hang for a few moments, mostly thinking how to start...
"There's a...Reason I was concerned about seeing you here.
"...It's gone. My timeline. My world. Wiped away." A slight pause. "Not related to the Garden Wall, if you were wondering. Apparently it was...In motion, ever since the day I became like this.
"So I was worried the same might've happened to you."
*She... blinks at that.
"Gone?? As in, erased? Completely wiped??? What on earth could have caused that?"
*Hearing that an entire timeline was completely gone was... jarring. Frightening, even.
"My timeline is very much intact, last I checked. I just tore myself out of it to breathe. I suppose I understand your concern from earlier a lot clearer now."
*Hysteria feels good enough to hum a bit of a tune to herself. Up in a tree and away from other beings, that is. She doesn't sing for an audience.
*Though, if anyone were listening, it would sound almost as though they were experiencing a mirage. It's a hauntingly soothing melody.

To wrong her is practically a death sentence. Should you decide to make your way onto her shit list, she will make sure to make your life a living hell whenever possible via verbal or physical torment.
She will happily play on your paranoia until you start seeing her just at the edge of your peripherals, or she will simply beeline for you on sight.
The only human who has slipped from her grasp after nearly caving in her skull with a bat is a man named Phoenix. She's made many attempts on his life, but has failed to breach his defenses. It is a strong and brewing hatred.))

The canine slowly pulls away from the hug, trying to offer a smile, his hands gently grasping onto hers.

A pause, before he motions at what they're calling the ground. "Shall we sit? We...Have a few things to catch up on."
"Right..." She sniffled. "I just hate being such a mess..."
*When he finally does release her hands, she takes the time to wipe at her eyes. Calmer now. Picking up the pieces.
*She catches him gesturing to the ground behind bleary eyes, following his hands. Yes, yes, catching up. They had much of it to do.
"...Yes. It seems as though we do, my friend."
*She didn't need much coaxing to seat herself next to him.
“ Indeed I am.
Simply because I can be. And I shall be.
Danger is all part of life’s never ending thrill! “
Finally peeking out, the Dhampir had her chin propped up by her folded hands, prettily winking at the monster,
“ Privjet, gorgeous creature ~ .
My name is Bethanne Drozdov. Who might you be ~ ? “
"Is that so...?"
*The skeletoness tilts her head in thought. She doesn't react to the compliment beyond a curl of the tail. Contemplative. Was this individual trying to get on her good side? She was much too ragged to be 'gorgeous'.
*Hysteria finally rises to her feet to face Bethanne properly, still holding the chainblade in one hand. Besides the healed hairline fractures littered over her leg bones, Betty would notice that there was a massive crack over the maiden's right eyesocket, and the eyelight in it was muddled and flickering. A past injury.
"You may call me Hysteria. No titles or the like. There is nothing special to me to warrent it, nor do I wish for the attention it would bring.
Pray, tell. You are not....human, are you? Another creature of the night, perhaps?"
"...This.
This is why I have no remorse for eating humans."
"I...Know how much it hurts. It's...Indescribable. And it...Hurts far more than it would to cry until you feel like you might die, screech until there's no air left to breathe.
"So please...Let it all out, Luci. Don't hold back a single thing, until there are no more tears, no more words."
Angelo's hand rubs her back, letting her know the he's here for her, for as long as it takes. He can share his own pain later. For now, this moment is hers.
He'll await until she's begins to quiet, speaking softly.
"...If you're ready. Listen to my heartbeat, follow my breath." His heartbeat is a calm rhythm. His breathing is steady, consistent.
"Slow...Steady...Inhale...Exhale..."
*She said nothing, but complied with a nod.
*Lucida would take a deep breath, to the best of her ability between hiccuped sobs, and focused on his heartbeat. Inhale... Exhale...
*Inhale... Exhale... Until her hiccups had finally dried up to mere sniffles.
"I apologize..." The maiden muttered. "I am usally better than this.
It is unlike me to be so.... emotionally distressed in this way."
*And she hated to dump her emotions onto others. She felt so childish, having to drape over others with her woes. Even if Angelo was here to allow her to vent.

He has experience giving comforting embraces. His children, as they grew, would have occasional nightmares or would learn things of the world they weren't ready to know or would simply be upset about small things that a child would get worked up over.
Of course, he knows he isn't hugging a child of his. This was a fellow adult, who shared some of the same pains as himself. This...Is as much for himself as it is for her, he will admit.
"It's not...None of our hardships are fair or just."
He keeps his words short, to allow her to vent and express her own sorrows. And he'll hold her, just like this, until she is done.
"Everything would have been fine... Everything would have returned to normal...
We would have been able to live happily ever after again. Without fear of those wretched SEEDs invading the timeline. Without fear of that nightmarish entity from The Abyss...
Yet in that damned timeline's final moments, it still chose to take one final thing from me...!
Why him?! Why did it have to be him?!"
*It hurt to speak. It hurt to scream. But she had been holding onto this for so long. She was never a woman to spit curses, but this pain had been eating at her for far too long.
"My dearest Ploobie... My dearest, deast friend..."
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT UNDERVEIL
The link above is a compiled summary regarding terms and individuals you will see mentioned on this blog (compiled by my good friend @thebonezone66 !). It's not an entire run down of the story (as I think that's still being worked on), but here you'll have a basic understanding of things such as the Garden Wall.
Lucida's place in the Garden Wall was among the Anomalies, given she is not "canon" to Undertale at all, and thus was sucked into this empty timeline on accident. The Troubleshooters were "admins" who oversaw the timeline and its happenings. Angelo(@seraphofretribution ) wasn't one of them, but interacted with them often and made visits to the Anomalies as well.
In Lucida's time there, she has been faced with highly dangerous SEEDs, has met face to face with a genocidal Chara dubbed MC (and was the sole survivor of the encounter among two others who were with her. She learned very quickly about the game of "Tag"), and has had to endure timeline resets which were extremely jarring. She has met The Dragon, but only once. Her opinion of him is not high, given how vague he was about the entire situation. There was something else going on, and he refrained from ever telling the Anomalies all the details. All finer details remained in the circle of the Troubleshooters (though Angelo was left out of said details).
In the end, the Garden Wall collapsed, and everyone was sent home. Only, when Lucida was sent home, her childhood companion Ploobie was lost mid transportaion. She hasn't the slightest clue where he is. No-one does.
Lucida is now burdened with the knowledge of her world being so much smaller than she knew it to be, knowledge her home timeline residents wouldn't ever understand, those emotions souring given she didn't have the contact of many of those anomalies she'd met to speak to.
She's been traumatized by multiple near death experiences and timeline resets, and is now on a long quest to find out what the hell happened to Ploobie. Her anger rests on those who created the Garden Wall, loosely pointed at The Dragon, and anyone else who admits to have had anything to do with it.
It's been a long road, and now she's escaping her confines to new horizons.
At least... for now.
