you know how when you listen to a song at a low point in your life, it gets associated with those feelings of sadness that it helps you cope with? like when you listen to that song again once the storm has passed, it's usually very hard to get through it because of all the dark memories it brings back? but the thing with taylor swift songs is that they will help you come out of a bad place and still never carry the weight of sadness with them. whenever you find a taylor swift song to escape into, it will forever be a safe place for you. it will wash the dirt off you but will never itself get dirty. i don't know how she does it but i have never been able to hate or not go back to a taylor swift song just because i used to listen to it at a time i don't want to think about. infact, those songs now provide me comfort and closure that i looked for, in the dark times. her music is the only magic i believe in.
