Today, I sat in the seaty area of Starbucks. I didn't actually get anything because of my crippling anxiety of not speaking Starbucks. I'm better off without. I learned things though. At Dunkin', the customer is almost always with a group of friends. This NEVER happens at Starbucks. At Starbucks, the customer always has a laptop and/or iPad.
I had to pretend REALLY hard to be casually texting, too, as I got a snapshot of this guy. There was just something really beautiful about this doo ragged fellow, getting a quarter massage in a vibrating chair outside of JC Penney. I can respect that honesty.
I went to see Great Gatsby on six dollar Tuesday (which is now seven dollars, what the actual fuck). It was really, really bad. But, that's not what this is about. This is about the most fashionable older lady sitting in the Providence Place food court. Get it;
God bless you, men of Federal Hill. That is all.
May your swag carry you as far as you want. *Federal Hill gets bonus spollard points for their Peroni umbrellas.

Do you ever wonder what becomes of the Rhode Trip sketches that aren't digitized and colored and whatnot? I assume not, since I don't bring it up. But, the truth is, I would not get any of these if it weren't for the countless drawings this year that didn't end up on the internet. So, here's a shout out to those drawings, and a glimpse into some pencil sketches that will stay that way.
This week, one of the places I went to was Coffee Exchange on Wickenden Street in Providence. I felt pretty great going here because my good friend, Karen Sung frequents this spot to draw. So, naturally, I mosied about, encroaching all up on her territory. It was fun. I always prefer PC users to Mac users as people, possibly because I am so helplessly Mac that I envy the freedom of the PC user. Here's Karen's Coffe Exchange blog, One Outsider Inside.
It's good.
These snappy old ladies were at my ice cream jam in Cranston, Sundaes. It was really warm out. The (not pictured) West jocks and I were having a blast, t-shirting it up. Separately. I was not partaking in t-shirt time with hormonal teenage strangers. But, then I had a morbid thought that troubles me to this very moment.
Do old people get colder than young people. Like... when I get really tired, my body gets all cold and shaky, and I get really hungry and reminiscent about Downton Abbey. This is EXACTLY what I think it's like being old.
Yesterday was my birthday, and I find myself sitting here, 22, not unlike that Taylor Swift song, "22". These old peeps at Harry's were not 22. The guy on the right started awkwardly smiling, like I was taking his picture. He was a little too cool with it.
Over Spring Break, I naturally found myself in Cranston. And everyone in their right mind knows that Brewed Awakening has the best coffee ever brewed on planet Earth. I went there.
This post is dedicated to sexy!Jesus-man, who remains one of the first people under the age of 50 and not gross to hit on me.

So, the other week, I found myself in the emergency room. The doctor nebulized me for like, twenty minutes when she said she'd be back in five. Alas, she was not. In typical spring fashion, my body had rebelled against myself. But, s'all good now. This is a drawing from the waiting room. I (rightfully) figured ~I best be bringin' mah sketchbook~. I always wonder what's wrong with other people.
This is Quickly, downtown Providence's super-new, Asian fast food place. It has big windows and whenever I walk by, I just see RISD people in it. So, I drew some. They all go to RISD.
My dad. Still at Crow's Nest.
Also, at Old Navy, couples Black Friday shop. But didn't buy much.
Two of my frands dine in the Met, RISD's dining facility that serves food ranging from "meh" to "eh!".

So, I went Black Friday shopping at Old Navy in the afternoon. Didn't really buy gifts, just some fleece for lil' ol' me. Oops. But, a lot of other people did. Like these two ladies, who were totally strangers before they waiting in line together for, like, three hours.
Now that it's getting colder out, RISD is full of pseudo alpaca herders and bearded gentlemen. This picture doesn't capture that, but it does capture another part of RISD.
Slap a scarf on it.
