We've said that the ring rub means "I love you" or something similar. This is not a standard ring rub and it does not mean "I love you"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (He does however also rub the ring after the unmistakeable motion... aftercare much? ;) ). You can also see that he throws glances at Link, shifting his eyes from Lucas to Link and back, to check if Link saw him and got the message! It's actually pretty intimate to the point it feels a little intrusive on my part, but then I remembered that doing that on camera was his CHOICE.

You can also see that Link does a double check at him but keeps it super discreet.

Rhett is a sapiosexual confirmed. Another time he did the ring rub was again when Link was being clever! It's also funny because while I was watching today, I thought "Wow Link is on a good day". If it was notable to me then I guess it was enough to make Rhett fall all over again lol

I explained again recently why rubbing the nose is a code between Rhett and Link. But it's not their only code. The following one is already suspected by some, not even just me, I wasn't sure but as they say, third time's a charm.

I think it's pretty clear rubbing / twisting a ring is code. I can't tell you exactly what it means with certainty but given the context of the cases above, it must mean something VERY interesting. (BTW 3rd incident did not have significant verbal context but Link leaned in and made some cute faces and voices to Rhett while also saying something clever.)
