@ straight girls, please. please. take your homophobic hypocrisy and realise that girls who like girls are not your enemy.

if we flirt with you, because not all of us have amazing gaydar and sometimes we just gotta try, and you’re not into us? if you just say so, the most likely scenario is that we will sincerely apologise and then move to the other side of the room or in any other way leave you as well alone as we possibly can.

we are not your enemy.

and we don’t like girls just because you’re girls. you are not body parts. you are not a trophy. we don’t call your outfit cute because we want to get between your legs. you are not new territory that we want to conquer. you are not an area on a map that we want to mark with an “x” so we can brag about how we’ve been there.

Hello, Marvel fandom!

The MTH mod team is proud to bring back Marvel Trumps Hate, for a second run! Our fandom-wide fundraiser auction raised just under $20,000 USD for charity with the help of 236 generous creators and hundreds of bidders last year!

Inspired by Stony Trumps Hate and Fandom Trumps Hate, our purpose is to encourage fandom unity while raising money for non-profit organizations that work to protect civil rights, marginalized and oppressed communities, and the environment. This year, we’re looking forward to raising just as much awareness and money for some Marvel-ous causes!

Creator sign-ups will open in one month’s time, on Saturday, September 21, 11:59 PM ET (Eastern Time). Creators may offer different types of works such as fics, art, edits, videos, beta services, crafts, and more for any character, ship, or universe in the Marvel multiverse.

Sign-ups will run until Saturday, October 5, 11:59 PM ET, which should give everyone plenty of time to think about what they’d like to offer, spread the word, and sign up as a creator!

The 2019 MTH Auction Week will run from October 19 to October 26, starting and finishing at 11:59 PM ET. If you’re in a different time zone, you can convert times here.

The Perfect Explanation of Privilege – In One Powerful Punchline

“The Pencilsword” is a comic strip by Toby Morris, an illustrator from New Zealand. His most recent comic, “On a Plate” hits hard at the heart of the issues of concerning wealth and privilege.

How many times have you heard the “I’ve never been handed anything on a platter” argument in regard to social security and other social benefits?

Toby wrecks this argument by showing how two children can grow up, be loved and supported, and yet still have two very different outcomes.

First day of life up until 6th grade 

Jumped all the way to Freshman year of High School

Then I cut my hair Junior year, why did I do that

Slowly it started growing back and then….

I finally felt comfortable to express myself (the picture on the left was my debut)

At this point in my transition I am 6 months into HRT

A year on HRT

2 years since my coming out 

2 years on hrt

2.3 years on hrt

At this point I am 3 years into my Hormone Replacement Therapy. I’m thriving. 

These pictures were taken days apart and I am 3 and a half years into my medical transition (The picture on the right was also posted by Instagram on all their major social media handles attached with an interview I did with them for International Women’s Month)

During this time I was 4 years into HRT. Clearly living for it.

It’s mid-April (how?) and another X-Men Remix is around the corner! We, the two mods, would be interested in doing it again, but for a remix to work well, there has to be a certain number of participants. So now we’re asking you, if you’d be interested too.
