REY & BEN’S JOURNEY in THE STAR WARS SEQUEL TRILOGY

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (2015) 

DLF, surrendering to nostalgia, thinking that fandon was just OT fanboys who hate prequels, sank the sequel in a poorly made copy of OT destroying the backbone of the story - Anakin’s prophecy. And only now he realized that the prequels have a fan base who complained and rightly because of the contempt for the chosen one. And what is the solution? A series returning with Ben with the help of Anakin and Rey across the World Between Worlds?

No, more nostalgia. Series of recycled characters and animations without appeal. Only DLF forgets that “series between episodes” does not change the ending of them. Showing Anakin on Obiwan’s flash backs does not change the fact that they made Anakin ignore his grandson after all. DLF is using the appeal of the past again, to forget the mistakes of the sequels. But nostalgia for me doesn’t work. I’m from the prequel generation and I was never interested in Clone Wars, Rebels or “intermediate series” because the prequels have a cohesive script. I don’t need to see Clone Wars to understand the plot. And I already know about the end of Obiwan, Anakin and Padmé I don’t need more content that in practice doesn’t make a difference. The mandalorian is trying to explain the outcome of the sequels, but they are only providing a basis for bad decisions. DLF is not concerned with saving the saga from disaster, but with “gnawing bone from the past” to divert our attention from the disastrous ending of the main saga. Only it won’t work with me

I don’t care about series of droids, pilots, characters that don’t interest me (Ashoka or Lando) or that will only fill “gaps” unnecessarily. Everything that could be shown from Obiwan and Ashoka already exists in Clone Wars and Rebels. What I want is the future, Ben returning and founding a new order from another tradition of strength, with Rey. I want to see this saga being saved from the morbid concept it has become. I want star wars to stop being a story of a murderer whose granddaughter steals the name of the family he exterminated, and return to hope. And by the meaning of the name we know where the hope is. In BEN SOLO!

A DLF ao se render a saudosismo achando que o fandon se resumia a fanboys da OT que odeiam as prequels, afundou a sequel numa cópia mal feita da OT destruindo a espinha dorsal da história - a profecia do Anakin. E só agora percebeu que as prequels tem uma fã base que reclamou e com razão do desprezo pelo escolhido. E qual a solução? Uma série retornando com Ben com a ajuda de Anakin e Rey através do Mundo entre Mundos?

Não, mais saudosismo. Séries de personagens reciclados e animações sem apelo. Só que a DLF se esquece que “séries entre os episódios” não mudam o final deles. Mostrar Anakin em flash backs de Obiwan não muda o fato que eles fizeram Anakin ignorar o neto no final de tudo. DLF está usando de apelo ao passado novamente, para esquecermos os erros das sequels. Mas comigo saudosismo não funciona. Sou da geração prequel e nunca me interessei por Clone Wars, Rebels ou “séries intermediarias” porque as prequels tem roteiro coeso. Não preciso ver Clone Wars para entender a trama. E eu já sei do final de Obiwan, Anakin e Padmé não preciso de mais conteúdo que na pratica não faz diferença. The mandalorian está tentando dar explicações para o desfecho das sequels, mas só estão dando embasamento para péssimas decisões. DLF não está preocupada em salvar a saga do desastre, e sim em “roer osso do passado” para desviar nossa atenção do final desastroso da saga principal. Só que comigo não vai funcionar. Não me interessa séries de droids, pilotos, de personagens que não me interessam (Ashoka ou Lando) ou que só vão preencher “lacunas” desnecessariamente. Tudo que poderia ser mostrado de Obiwan e Ashoka já existe em Clone Wars e Rebels. O que eu quero é o futuro, Ben retornando e fundando uma nova ordem de outra tradição da força, com Rey. Quero ver essa saga sendo salva do conceito mórbido que ela se tornou. Quero que star wars deixe de ser uma história de um assassino cuja neta rouba o nome da família exterminada por ele, e volte a ser sobre esperança. E pelo significado do nome nós sabemos onde a esperança está. Em BEN SOLO!
