I think that’s really what the finale episode is about — that culmination of Belly and Conrad’s story is them meeting each other as adults and maybe not knowing who these new versions of each other are in that moment. It is so important to me that people know that Conrad hasn't "changed." Yes, he has gone to therapy and become more mature, but the only reason it's viewed as a radical difference is because we met Conrad at the worst moment in his life. Belly even clues us in on it in the first episode when she asks him why he's been acting so different. Conrad has always been thoughtful, and selfless, and empathetic, and while it's still shown through in flashbacks and little moments throughout the first 2 seasons, it's only now, after he's put in the hard work to heal, that his true personality is getting to shine.

And most importantly for the plot, this is the Conrad that Belly fell in love with.

#Jeremiah saying Conrad took belly is crazy like belly isn't in paris on her own rn???#and also like conrad says that is not how it works #he just laid it out there for belly to make a decision knowing the full truth #if you love someone you should want that for them #but jeremiah and belly only 'worked' while they were lying to themselves and each other #and jeremiah admits here that he knows that #this conversation was soooo good but I still would love a little bit more from jeremiah #like hey “sorry I also played a role in the dishonesty and pushing things too far that caused more pain” would be nice #the growth of conrad finally standing up for himself a little bit to make jeremiah realize he's just as human as jere is #i am not some untouchable god who you cannot hurt.
