moon

this drawing was inspired mainly in part by this piece of art i saw, i adore the colors and shapes and textures and wanted to try something similar immediately. i dont think its quite the same but i found some really really fun brushes to use and had a lot of fun with this so i think it turned out well :D the tree like structures are meant to be representative of shuhu. I wanted to include the thousand faces part of the description too but couldn't figure out a way to do so without being too cluttered so i simplified it to more of ashveil's eye patterns with some extra round tree gnarl shapes. ashveil's eyes are very pale here i wanted them to kind of look like the moon is staring down at you... the Moon Itself 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ i really like how pale his irises are in his design. also wolf over his eye, of course. the crescent-like patterns are from the lapels of his clothing. the section in the upper right corner/mid left side with the lines was meant to emulate his line about the rangers where he calls them his bright stars... the lines streaking through the dark like stars... i adore that voiceline. the ropey tan lines are the ones wrapped around his right wrist where the nails are stabbed in, and the graves atop them are again his rangers and friends that he has lost. i wanted the shape they made to be kind of reminiscent of a ribcage but thats a very subtle association. anyways this is a very self indulgent piece thank you for stopping by :D
