I wish I’d done everything on Earth with you.

Love seems to find me during the winter.

I must learn to love the fool in me - the one who feels too much, talks too much, takes too many chances, wins sometimes and loses often, lacks self-control, loves and hates, hurts and gets hurt, promises and breaks promises, laughs and cries.

In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.

If you’re so funny, then why are you on your own tonight? / And if you’re so clever, then why are you on your own tonight? / If you’re so very entertaining, then why are you on your own tonight? / If you’re so very good-looking, why do you sleep alone tonight?

I have a habit of falling in love with souls who have yet to be at peace with their bodies, their minds, their weaknesses. I try to build them, to find the parts of them that are missing in me. I end up with holes in my chest.

That is the saddest part when you lose someone you love — that person keeps changing. And later you wonder.. is this the same person I lost?

My heart is still crusty with emotional scabs and I don’t want them pulled off.

How I’d love to get away from here and be someone else for a while in a place where no one knows or expects certain things from me.

It hurts every day, the absence of someone who was once there.
