This is a version of Kon’s reaction to Tim’s cloning.

When finding out, I would like to think it was a slip of the tongue from someone else or Tim just offhandedly mentions it.

I would say at first Kon doesn’t know what to say. And Tim knows how terrible it is, he feels bad but doesn’t really regret it, because he was definitely spiraling at the time.

Tim doesn’t manage to word his intentions properly so Kon gets mad/shocked. So he would probably leave.

I want Tim to be spiraling again, like “what if I messed up everything I had with Kon”.

Kon takes a while to process whatever the fuck he just heard. He is quite baffled, like Tim /knows/ how he hates being a clone. He is offended but at the same time he’s kind of flattered since Tim only tried cloning him. Like, he’s disgusted by the fact that he finds it hot, and he kind of understands the feeling. If Tim died, he would try everything to have him back. But of course, trying to clone the clone is very morally questionable.

This takes a while to make peace with, and Tim just keeps on panicking because Kon hasn’t talked to him in weeks. He officially thinks he fucked up.

Then, when Tim accepts the fact that he probably won’t be able to see Kon again, he appears on patrol. Like, flying above him appears.

Tim double takes, he trips over himself. He should start rambling, like he thinks he’s hallucinating but also that he’s sorry. Kon sort of finds this amusing but he is here for a serious reason.

He says he appreciates how much Tim missed him to do things like that. But he also states how he doesn’t want Tim to do that again. He knows what happened already happened, so he will forgive Tim. In time. Kon admits he finds it hot. He also understands Tim’s mental state at the time.

Tim is speechless. In the back of his mind, he likes that Kon kind of sort of liked it. But he knows what he did was very wrong. He apologizes.

Somehow, he manages to bring it up in every first meeting he has with anyone ever. Like, everyone.

Random reporter: Dick Grayson! May I have a word with you?

Dick (smiling, all charms.): Of course! Ask away.

Random reporter: What are your future plans for your new charity in Blüdhaven?

Dick: Oh, I was thinking of raising money for it by doing backflips!

Random reporter (momentarily speechless): I beg your pardon?

Dick: I think I’m a little out of shape with my whole moving to blüdhaven thing, so I decided to earn money for the charity while getting back into shape.

Random reporter: but what about the people that.. can’t do a backflip?

Dick: Who said anything about other participants? I’ll be live streaming my 200 backflips challenge!

Random reporter:

Party guest: It’s an honor to meet young Mr. Grayson.

Dick: Ah yes, nice to finally meet you, Ms. (Party guest).

Party guest: Finally? Do you know of me?

Dick: Of course! I read about you the other day when I was doing some exercise.

Party guest: I see. I’m glad you’re staying in shape, Mr. Grayson.

Dick: Thank you! Although, it was sort of difficult to fully focus on your article while doing a handstand.

Party guest: I.. see. How long exactly did you take reading the article?

Dick: only about half an hour! I managed the stay up the whole time, so that’s a bonus.

Party guest: oh.

Thugs: Come on, give me your money!

Nightwing (Flips from a rooftop all the way down to the floor): Not today.

Thug #1 (looks from the roof to where Nightwing is): did you… really have to do all that?

Nightwing (too used to flipping off buildings that he thinks it’s normal): what?

Thug #2: We get it, you can do flips.

Nightwing (grinning): Glad you got it. Do you know what else I can do?

Thug #1 (glances at Thug #2): uh, what?

Nightwing (knocks them out): this!

(This is going to be super long)

It all started with an “I love you”. But like it’s said in the worst way possible so Tim does not realise it was a love confession.

Basically Kon feels an adrenaline rush after a massive battle or something. So he runs up to Tim and says “I love you, man!” And he pauses because oh shit he just revealed he loved his best friend. But Tim, sort of injured and knees about to give out, only smiles and says “I love you too.” They then go to get themselves healed and stuff. Tim means it as a best friend way by the way.

Kon, in his excitement, says “so is this day one?”

And Tim, tired out of his mind, just nods, he doesn’t really process the words.

So, in Kon’s mind, they started dating since that whole fiasco, and Tim is basically not aware of that and thinks of that day is just any other day as a vigilante.

So from then on, cue in multiple scenes of Kon being a gentleman, like them randomly going on dates after patrol, calling to make sure Tim’s alright, being a little more touchy than usual because, well, he thinks they’re dating. 

So basically, Kon is living his best life right now, and Tim is just living his everyday life lmao. He could be a bit dubious as to Kon’s touchiness’ intentions, but he dismisses the thoughts.

Everyone else though, they have caught on. They know Kon and Tim are dating, and they’ve randomly been congratulating them when they’re together and even alone. Like even Bruce goes up to Tim after patrol and says “Tim, I’m glad you find someone.”

Tim is just really confused now. And when the batfamily starts teasing him, he’s just like: “wait. Who are we talking about?” In his head, he can’t think of anyone that he’s dating, or dating from an outsider’s perspective.

The whole scenario goes like this:

“So, Tim. Where were you last night after patrol?” - D (conversational, leaning into Tim’s space)

“Hm? Just with Kon.” - T (on his phone.)

“Brat doesn’t even hide it.” - J (doesn’t look up from his book)

“Hide what..?” - T (tucks away his phone, aware that everyone else in the room is staring at him.)

“Your newfound connection with the clone, Drake.” - Da (arms crossed)

“You didn’t have to word it like that.” -S (looking up at Damian from her spot in front of the television.)

“My what? Me and Kon are friends.” - T (very confused, thinking Damian doesn’t want him to be close friends with a clone or something.)

“Are we sure we’re talking about the same Kon? The same Kon that looks at you like you hung the moon?” - J (glancing up from his book, to give him a questioning look.)

“I.. what is going on right now? Do you think me and Kon are dating?” - T (going through every recent meet up to make sure he is, in fact, not dating Kon. (He just interprets everything the wrong way.))

“Uh, Tim. I thought you guys were public about it? I literally congratulated you?” - D (tilting his head at Tim)

“Yeah, you are a cute couple.” - C (smiling at Tim, unaware that she just made him spiral.)

“Wait, me and Kon are dating?” - T (just realised every interaction could be interpreted as a relationship way.)

“You are hopeless.” - S (not looking away from the TV screen.)

End this scene.

Next, Tim is just pacing in his room because he is rethinking his life decisions. Kon texts him to meet up to eat somewhere and Tim declines in panic. Tim sighs because he knows he will eventually have to talk to the super about it.

Kon, on the other hand, is completely baffled because Tim never says no on a date. He starts being a little insecure about their relationship since Tim has never really said “I love you” apart from the confession and show affection.

The meta decides to give his boyfriend a little space and looks forward to the next YJ mission.

Fast forward a couple of days and the YJ team is gathered for a mission. Kon is right next to Tim as always, and Tim starts to doubt the situation. Like his thoughts are: ‘oh my god I think I might’ve misunderstood a situation and didn’t realise we started dating when did we even start dating?’

Kon is excited because it’s their like half a year? Or even one year anniversary.

He soon realises Tim doesn’t have plans for a date or anything, just the mission and stuff. He gets kind of upset. Tim is like okay today is the chance.

Do you see what I’m going with this??

So Kon, upset about going home without his bf, gets a message when he’s in bed and the text is “can we talk? Meet at usual rooftop.”

The clone /panics/. He thinks their relationship is over and mentally prepared himself for the heartbreak because he thinks he’s the only one that gave effort into the relationship, he feels like he should’ve known it was unreciprocated.

Tim is steeling himself to ask exactly how long they’ve been dating, and how.

Once they meet, Tim doesn’t say what he tried to say because Kon is /crying./ Like full on bawling. He’s like what the fuck happened in three hours?

Kon couldn’t hold it in and he was just so in love that he starts crying before he even lands at the rooftop.

Tim is full caretaker mode and wipes the tears, hugs Kon, asks him to calm down and breathe.

After a while, Kon stops crying. He then says “I’m sorry. I know you want to break up with me..” blah blah blah like a whole rant. And Tim is processing like whattt.

Tim stops Kon and explains. Something like this:

“Okay, Kon. I would like to clarify that I was not aware we were dating until, like, now. I mean, I had suspicions, but you confirmed them for me a minute ago.”

And Kon nearly bursts into tears again because he goes:

“Oh my God, we weren’t even dating? I feel so fucking stupid right now. You’re right, I’m sorry for even assuming—“ etc etc.

He starts to backtrack and is about to jump off when Tim catches his wrist and looks at him with sad care thing expression.

Tim explains how he would love to date Kon for real, and that he was so sorry for the misunderstanding and the pain he caused him.

HAPPY ENDING THEY KISS AND FLOAT AWAY YAYAYAYA.

This was the main concept of the fic: Tim sticking close to Kon, yearning. And Kon, even drunk, only looks at others until they are alone and then Tim would usually allow Kon to kiss him whatever. But he eventually snaps and leaves. Kon realises his mistake and tries to apologize to Tim and Tim is not accepting it, saying “you don’t actually want me. I’ve had enough.” And stuff.

Kon did this when he was drunk and didn’t do it when he was sober because he had internalized homophobia but he’s still in the wrong yknow.

MY CONTINUED VERSION:

Basically Tim doesn’t accept Kon’s apology right off the bat. He just wants to move on, he’s fully prepared to do so. And Kon is becoming more and more desperate

He rethinks all of his actions, deeply regrets them all, keeps trying to meet Tim and say sorry again.

Eventually, they fall back into rhythm with young justice and stuff. But Tim is very very clearly NOT wanting a relationship other than professional one. He dismisses hang outs and everything but goes with Bart and Cassie. Tim does accept the apology sadly and says he gets it, leaving before Kon could confess.

Kon is super sad. He eventually tells someone about this. Probably Cassie.

He wants to get another shot at romance with Tim and he’s not scared of being gay at all. This takes a while to get over with, because yeah.

More time passes, and it takes ages to get there. Tim always rejects requests to meet up until one day he feels safe enough to say yes.

Kon yearns more because Tim only met up with him to tell him about Bernard. HAHAHAH yes this is cruel but I need yearning Kon.

After a year, Kon keeps trying but less now because well Tim is taken.

After they break up though, Kon is here to comfort Tim and he’s always by his side.

And THEN they can actually get together but it takes more time because Tim had to redevelop his feelings for Kon.

But Kon is happy with this. He doesn’t mind. He knows he deserved it but he wishes he wasn’t so afraid of his sexuality. Basically he wishes he had more time together with Tim rather than his selfish past self throwing away the opportunity.

(Side ideas:

- flashbacks of Kon getting homophobic comments from the women he used to be with.

- Kon dreaming about Tim yearning and Kon not seeing it, like he is the outsider’s perspective in his dream)

To anyone who wants the fanfic:

Honestly this made me cry even with two chapters. It was really well written and I wished they continued it

- College: Track Bart and Band Jaime. Bart falls for him, quite literally.

- Online dating: Jaime makes friends with a chronically online guy with the username “Impulse”. Bart just developed a crush on BeetleAzul so he always drops everything to answer.

- Bakery: Jaime helps at a family bakery and Bart always travels there for hours to see him. Jaime wonders how the scrawny guy has such a big appetite.

- School: Jaime always draws this one really popular guy from school. Bart catches him once and he lowkey likes it.

- Comics: Bart and Jaime first meets when they encounter each other at a comic store and start arguing about the Blue Beetle / Impulse collaboration.

- Rivalry: Bart hates this one guy from the other martial arts team. Jaime just tries to fight Bart all the time because /someone/ has a crush.

- Royalty: Bart has a massive crush on the medic of the castle. He tries to go there as much as he can and Jaime is just stressed because he gets hurt all the time.

- Death: It’s been years since Jaime died, and Bart can’t get over him. He imagines him sometimes, until it becomes a permanent thing. Hallucination Jaime. Full angst.

1st scene:

Kon is next to Tim and he watches his every move. He wonders what colour eyes he has, plus the shade, and what shape the eyes would be. He has been wanting for so long, but he knows he has to give up wanting to /know/. He nearly asks what colour his eyes are, but backs out the last second and changes his question. They carry on with the day.

This is when he realises he is fucked.

2nd scene:

Tim and Kon are on a joint mission. But this one is quite dangerous so Tim has to wear protection and stuff. So he wears lead and Kon is nervous because he can’t see through it. He can’t hear his heartbeat basically. He internally panics but Tim doesn’t really realise. Then during the mission he’s always keeping an eye out for Tim and if he goes out of sight Kon goes down a spiral. The mission goes safely, and Kon clings onto Tim more than usual. He always listens out for his heartbeat too. He has a whole internal monologue about how terrible it would be to not hear Tim’s heart.

This is when he realises he’s down bad.

Scene 3:

Kon really wants to know Tim’s identity and asks for it as a joke. Tim gets really sad that he can’t. And Kon is just yearning. He’s just saying “what’s holding you back? I really won’t tell. I just want you to be comfortable with me.” I think Kon confessing his feelings here is good. Like professing his love.

Tim ends up saying “no, I can’t. I just, can’t.” and leaves. Kon is sad.

Scene 4:

This one is kind of a short one. Kon is more distant with Tim now and they don’t really speak. He watches him interact with Bart and gets really sad about the whole situation. They make eye contact and Tim’s smile drops. Kon feels terrible and leaves the scene.

Scene 5:

Kon worked up the courage to apologize and move on from his feelings. He ends up going to Gotham but sees Dick with Tim. And he overhears tim talking about them.

“I don’t know what to do anymore.” Tim says on a rooftop.

“Little wing. I think you should just tell him. Didn’t B approve of you telling?”

“Yeah but, what if everything goes wrong? My identity is..” he can’t find the words.

“If he really does love you, he will stay.”

“Yes, but what if he leaves?”

“Then he’s not the one. He wouldn’t tell anyone anyway.”

“I want him to be the one.”

And Kon leaves because he is now more determined.

Kon tells Tim to meet him a rooftop. Kon goes there in his civilian clothes. When Tim arrives, he smiles. “Hey there. I’m Conner Kent, but you know me as Superboy.” And Tim is confused because Tim knows that already.

Kon pulls out some flowers and asks him to be his boyfriend.

Tim is shocked, and he’s hesitant.

Kon gets a little desperate and tells him “I don’t need to know your identity, it’s fine. I just want to date you, rob. Just you. I don’t care who you are under that mask, I just want /you/. Robin.”

Tim says “fuck.”

Kon thinks this is a rejection and he spirals like omg I did everything wrong. He starts to backtrack and say forget about it. And then Tim calls his name and he sees. Blue. Eyes.

Tim introduces himself and Kon is overjoyed.

They kiss and Kon floats them a bit.

- First, they do a full background check on them, even if they know the person or not.

- Then, if the background is good enough for the person, they send one of the members to try to talk to them in person. Like, imagine if Tim gets a love interest, Jason, the guy closest to his age would approach love interest and try to flirt or investigate them.

- If they pass that, they figure out each and every weakness of that person. They won’t stop until they find the dirtiest blackmail on them.

- then, if they’re content with that, they will start urging them to get together while also secretly keeping tracks of the person.

So like everyone is super old and stuff, like Batman is 80 or something.

And Tim went missing on a space mission 40 years or less ago. See where I’m going with this?

Then he comes back, miraculously, communicating to the watchtower. And at the watchtower, there are like new and teenage-but-they’re-old-now superheroes.

Through the comms he’s just like “hello? It’s Red Robin, I’m back.” Type shit.

And they’re all panicking and dubious about this like “I THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD” and “IS THIS AN IMPERSONATOR?”

They end up calling Supernova, who is Kon, who is still 16/17 years old looking.

Kon arrives and he’s like there’s no way that’s my boyfriend.

It is his boyfriend.

Of course this is all very traumatic for Tim and he goes through some hardships for missing everything and the whole “he’s not dead!” situation.

But hey he has Kon with him, who is the only one that looks the same.

(Even if he does age, I like to think kryptonians are like viltrumites, like they age at a human pace when they’re young and slows their aging after a while. So Kon looks roughly the same and Clark looks 60 not 80. Yeah I just realised the logic is NOT logicing but it’s okay.)

This is their second chance at a normal life because even though there are plenty of bad guys the heroes got more advanced tech, more trained heroes and generally it’s a better system for the world.

And thennnn Tim finds out how to allow Kon to age and then they finally have the life they never really got to have. If they don’t continue superhero work that’s okay I don’t really mind.

Like the concept is the villains (like, one villain per main hero I guess?) trying to find out where the camp is and planning to attack it so there’s a massive battle at the end.

The people at the camp are teens/young adults

Characters:

BATFAMILY

- Jason: Hades/Athena

It’s pretty self-explanatory, but if he was Hades’ child, he could probably summon the dead.

- Dick: child of the son of Poseidon and the daughter of Aphrodite (like he’s a son of two demigods)

Probably charm speak would be a good one for him, maybe not controlling water, personally I don’t think it suits him

- Tim: Athena/Hephaestus

Super smart guy, this one is also self-explanatory, but I guess he should be no powers even as the child of Hephaestus, super strength for building weapons are fine though 

- Stephanie: Nemesis

I don’t really know what kind of powers nemesis gives, so I’m going to say the power to change luck, like give her foes bad luck, so basically she doesn’t have powers

- Cass: Hecate/Hades

I think either shadow traveling or being able to control the mist so she can hide herself is a good one, I suppose she could be selectively mute?? 

- Damian: Demeter/Ares

Demeter is because he loves caring for animals so much, although Demeter is more plants, and I think because of his upbringing, he developed some Ares mindset

SUPERS

- Kon: Zeus

He could fly, maybe not summon lightning, and super strength will be a good one for him 

- Jon: Zeus

He should also get flight too, but only for short periods of time, and summoning lightning 

SPEEDSTERS

- Wally: Hermes

He should get super speed, of course, and pretty good luck is a good one 

- Bart: grandson of Hermes, child of demigod of Apollo

I think he should be able to heal himself, while he also has super speed, it’s not as fast as Wally, and I think he should probably focus more on weaponry rather than his legs

OTHERS:

- Jaime: Hephaestus

This one is personally really good, because I believe he can still merge with the scarab, because he was so curious about what he found on the ground, since it was on the technology, he wanted to find out what it was and stuff

- Cassie: Ares/Artemis

As Ares’ kid, I guess it would be good, with super strength and aura but with Artemis, she could probably have become powerful then, but she wouldn’t be able to be at the camp as much so I think Aries is a better choice 

- Garfield: Same as Frank (PJO)

Because he shape shifts, it would be better for him to be the same as Frank, and instead of his green skin, he can just have green hair.

JUSTICE LEAGUE

I guess them being the 12 Olympians and or minor gods would be the best choice, because you could easily fit the characters into the gods, although I’m not sure about that yet

They will probably feature in the universe, maybe mentioned a couple times and showing up in the final battle or something 

Haha I have so many random ones

- Jaime tried to learn the drums and rage quit because of Khaji Da and Bart picked it up instead so Bart can play the drums now!

- Jaime tosses Bart a new fidget toy each week and when he doesn’t Bart gets mopey

- Jaime sometimes orders like 10 portions and realises Bart isn’t there, so he just calls him and Bart gets a free meal

- bart always tries to stay still for photos with Jaime and once he got a clear photo of him he started bringing it everywhere and showing everyone

- Bart will just stare at Jaime do his work at school in superspeed and Jaime doesn’t even know about it

- out of habit, Bart doesn’t vibrate through walls anymore (Jaime’s scoldings about manners have that effect) so on young just us missions Bart would politely open the door and the team would just stare like what the fuck

I’m glad you asked this because I have so many head canons lmao

A couple of my favorite are:

- they started matching on social media on their superhero identity before they started dating

- bart comes over nearly everyday for dinner because he loves the food so much

- milagro and Bart gossip all the time and Jaime can’t even keep up with them

- bart includes khaji da in every conversation even in their civilian lives so he gets weird stares for mentioning a mystery third person

- bart loves Jane Austen and Jaime knows a lot about her writing without even touching her works

- Jaime takes martial arts or self defense classes and calmly teaches it to Bart so he can fight without his powers

So Tim is distracted and offhandedly comments something about him turning into a supervillain like it’s a “if I wanted to I would” conversation and he doesn’t notice how Kon is practically into it.

Like after that conversation Kon just goes like “if you were to go evil, where would you go?” And those type of questions. At random times, like he could just show up at Wayne manor and ask the question then fucking leave and Tim is just like what.

(This whole scenario can be a flashback or smth)

And then in the future when Tim snaps he calls Kon and says “I’m going to stop being RR” and everything.

So Kon, who’s been READY for this for like 3 years, just arrives to wherever Tim was when he called and just holds up two bags and says:

“I’ve already shredded my IDs and everything, let’s go.”

And Tim is like wow this guy is down bad. They make out the end!

The young just us team just lazing around and being bored.

Bart starts a random conversation that is about Bruce Wayne and his endless family. Everyone is interested in them because, well, it’s Bruce Wayne.

Tim, in the corner, very engrossed in whatever he’s doing like so very engrossed.

Then Kon just shouts “Tim!” And Tim, who has NOT revealed his identity yet, just responds with “yeah, what’s up?”

And then there’s silence, and Tim is wondering why the hell he isn’t getting a response and he realises.

He goes “oh shit”

So Bart is popular and Jaime doesn’t even catch up with anything so Jaime doesn’t know Bart exists until they speak.

Bart though, he’s been obsessed with this guy ever since he saw him at the library so whenever the popular guy Bart goes off somewhere it’s probably to the library.

So yeah Jaime is in the library like the whole day until Bart spots him on the way to the library talking to Tye and he goes “perfect opportunity” moment and talks to him

Only for Mr I don’t know anything to say “uh, who are you?”

And then I don’t think I should reveal anything more
