Vincent Valentine was born on October 13th, 1950 and died at age 27 in Nibelheim when he was shot by Hojo during an argument, presumably about his objection to the Jenova Project and its effects on Lucrecia Crescent. Due to experiments preformed on him both by Hojo and Lucrecia, he was returned to life but appears to be stuck unaging at 27. He is listed as 6′0 and blood type A.

Chronologically his ages in the Compilation are:

52 when Zack finds his coffin in Crisis Core

56 when Veld meets him in Before Crisis

57 in the original FFVII

59 in Advent Children

60 in Dirge of Cerberus

Vincent is a sharpshooter and uses a variety of guns during the OG, though it appears to have been retconned that his weapon was always the three barreled Cerberus, which he is seen using in Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus. Unlike the rest of the party, he only has four limits, each one a transformation presumably linked to the experiments on his person, and is completely healed when he transforms with a limit. However, once he has changed, he is no longer in the player’s control for the rest of the battle.

Level 1 has the default Galian Beast

Level 2 is Death Gigas, unlocked upon having killed 40 enemies.

Level 3, Hellmasker, is unlocked by 56 kills after Death Gigas is unlocked.

Level 4, Chaos, is unlocked by using the manual once the other three limits have been obtained.

While Vincent did not keep to his original class of “Horror Teller” (details of what that is were never released) it’s noteworthy that it still reflects in his four limits: the horrors of nature’s monsters in Galian Beast, the horrors of science in accidents and experiments in Death Gigas, the horrors of society in Hellmasker’s ‘serial killer’ design, and Chaos’ representation of the horrors of the occult.
