- when she was about fourteen, she made a website for âconfessionsâ aka the her high schoolâs gossip blog. it wasnât a nice thing to do and she wasnât nice about anything on it, but it was self preservation â due to many things concerning her parents actual life and occupations, nico was getting bullied, and she had to stop it somehow. sheâd never been the victim of anyone because she would bite anyone who came close (literally, sometimes), but nico was more vulnerable and renata would die for him. instead, she did a little character assasination online of people she didnât like. as she got older, she realized knowledge really was power, especially knowledge people didnât want you to have, and she also realized people were really bad with computers and passwords. hacking into systems was a piece of cake. she helped nico get into the football team he wanted to play at, helped herself get into college, did a little blackmailing here and there to get herself moved to a nicer apartment â renata is going places, and she doesnât really care how she gets there as long as she does it on a timely manner.
- she was approached to help with the app by someone who had seen what she could do. the app was merely an idea at the time, and they needed someone who could really work the algorithms. she wrote a bunch of subroutines for it, fixed glitches, worked mostly on the underlying maths of it. even now, the appâs her baby, she put so much work into it she canât help being proud even if itâs causing chaos.
