A lesson from Boba Tea

as I was questioning God about my existense in the places of my life that seem to come up short despite the steps in moving forward, that He provided, i still seemed to be abbreviated in my responsbilities at hand. as soon as i thought i was in the clear, moments later, I stumbled upon more than i could handle, and my faith grew red.

It's monday so i'm off and at ease with the day at the most aestheticly pleasing neighborhood cafe and ordering my drink, i realized i had forgotten my wallet in my car, i got my wallet, but i forgot my card/at home. No purchase made.

yea.

after an hour of enjoyment in my cozy corner of the couch at my new fav cafe, i couldnt focus, hunger headache's just stopped all progress.

I left, went home, had a phone conversation that topsied my progress and grew frustrated wondering why it progress seemed inevitable.

i returned, card in hand, regualr sized drink ordered/with specific requests to make it lovely.

i sat back in my cozy corner/thankful the space hadnt been claimed by any other. pen and journal to Abba, seeking closure from my now frustrated state/asking the why's and what's. then comes my honey dew boba tea with half the sugar in the largest sized cup.

Me-"I ordered a small"

Cashier-"I know, but it seemed like you were having a bad day."

and in that moment/a very emotional response of tears welled up in my eyes and i felt the love of God in the simplest upsize of my Boba tea.

to sip it has been perfection and the lesson learned is that i ask too little of the God who can do greater.

my resolve found/not at the end of my pen but at the sip of my honey dew/half the sugar upsized boba tea.

Lesson learned.
