Luna Wingfield and the Alpha Scientists: Omegaverse AU analysis (Wingfield Family AU)

Who wants more Wingfield Family analysis? I want more Wingfield analysis.
I've been thinking about omegaverse AU, and the implications it would have about Luna's relationships with the two most important people in her life, who both I see as alphas β her partner/mate (Senku) and her father (Xeno).
Omegas in these kind of settings are envisioned as an inherently soft, gentle, 'weak' gender, but Luna as a character that naturally wants to break out of the mold people try to shove her into and prove she's a cool and capable gal. She's not 'weak' just because she was born with one of the two reproductive organs between her legs, and as such will not be defined by just that. And I imagine Xeno and Senku, for all their surface-level similarities, having opposite respones to that due to their personalities.
Xeno is an alpha of an older generation (in the AU context, waay older generation). Like it or not, he grew up with these very dated and sexist ideas being a core component of his development since he first presented as an alpha. He allows Luna to 'technically' be free, while also exhibiting strong familial possessiveness. He unknowingly feeds into the same stereotypes Luna tries to fight back against by subtly being controlling, monitoring where she spends her time, wants her home no after specific time, needs her to always tells him where and who she's around. Even down to the things she wears. A skirt too short? "Oh no, dear, are you sure? :( Won't you get cold? :((". You get the deal.
What Xeno offers is designed to make Luna feel 'free enough', without necessary letting her from under his thumb. Because she's his little helpless omega daughter! He, per being a responsible alpha, must not let her wander and get forcibly bitten because her belly button was showing! Notice how it says "alpha" and not "father"? Uh-uh. (Also I feel like it's important to note that this is the 'miserable Xeno' version of the AU. Meaning he's divorced and is still deeply closeted bisexual man. But that's for another time.)
Senku in that regard is different, because when he offers Luna actual freedom, it feels like indifference. He's the type not to be interested in those mating shenanigans in general, and his protectiveness of his 'soulmate' is more subtle. Which is why Luna has so much trouble with him at first: Senku doesn't need to constantly monitor what she's doing, one mention is enough. He doesn't care what she's wearing because he rightfully believes a victim is never at fault of being harassed/assaulted. Luna, after being treated as weak her entire life, doesn't get it at first. She thinks he doesn't care.
It's only later that Luna accommodates to the new environment, and starts coming back to working on herself. She doesn't need Senku's approval on everything she does, especially when he doesn't and never will demand it. She comes back to pursuing medicine in the new world because that's what she wanted from the start, not because both most important alphas in her life were both scientists. And honestly I think it's beautiful how it all comes full circle with Luna's wish to be capable herself while not rejecting love, and having a partner who is just as capable as her while loving her dearly.
