Dropping some StanLuna headcanons I guess.

Stanley doesn't know how to express affection, so at first he resorted to cuteness agression. This had to be dropped fairy quickly because Luna thought he hates her.

They're both fashion divas and help each other with make up/doing nails/picking clothes/etc.

They tend to spend sleepless night together, gossiping and listening to their comfort bands. Stan is just happy he has people willing to give him their time.

Luna's star choker is a gift from Stan.

SIGH. I have some... Opinions on this scene, and I hate to voice them, but here we go I guess...

Before we begin I want the animators did a great job (besides whatever happened to Stanley's color pallete), and I pay them my respect wholeheartly. I do not hate how they adapted it, I just have some criticism to voice. It really makes me sad that this scene is finally animated and the first thing I do is edit it to make it closer to the manga. Now my points:

The random head tilt and the way Stanley's finger wiggles awkwardly on Xeno's face is just goofy. It's wonky and ruins the reunion drama.

I feel like anime doesn't do Xeno justice, AT ALL. In the manga his expression softens subtly when Stanley caresses his cheek/lip, there's even a small glint that appears in his eyes. In the anime he looks like he's disgusted more than anything.

Speaking of which, they look... So angry, for some reason? It doesn't feel like a bittersweet fuzzy reunion, they look like they want nothing to do with each other. With Stan you can write it off as confidence, but Xeno is just got that "Ugh, you again >:(" gaze.

At the end of the day, again, it's not bad. But it was such a big moment to me, I was really hyped to finally see my favorite scene of animated, and in the end it's... Pretty meh sadly. Manga version will be forever my favorite.
