For a moment, the girl doesn’t realize she’s the one being spoken to. Eyes glance around her to find the intended recipient, only to see no one else. She sighs, realizing he was talking to her, and during her lunch break at that.
The one day she actually had food. She closes the lid to her lunch and she finally looks at him, stern eyes taking him in with a bit of wariness.

Just because she was a prisoner to Gehenna, didn’t mean she wasn’t able to enjoy herself every now and again. Besides, she’d never had the opportunity to go on a huge shopping spree with a friend.

Under normal circumstances, a witty remark would have flown from her lips instantaneously. This time, there was a very noticeable delay. The previous look of terror on her face disappeared, replaced in it’s stead a look of relief. It was funny, how out of everyone in this twisted world, she seemed to feel safest in his company. Because for all of his reputation–he had never once hurt her.
Her labored breath finally began to slow as the adrenaline’s effect finally receded. She dropped to her knees of the floor. “..thank you–” Why she was thanking him of all people, she didn’t know. Somehow, it just seemed appropriate for saving her life.
“I think I need a nap after that.”
The smoking remains of the Y’haggorth lay inches away on the dirt floor and what remained of it’s barbed tentacles still twitched as if still seeking prey. Satan’s clawed foot takes cares of them, the venom that squelches out he is immune to, well he did create the creature, after all
“How many times have I told you not to go down to the lower levels of the citadel? he snaps, pulling her to her feet “There are entity’s down here that can kill even the strongest of demons. You had a very lucky escape and you would have likely been a Y’haggorth’s supper, had I not been here to save you”
She winced at the sharpness of his words. He was right, of course. How foolish she had been to disregard his warnings, even if there was a potential means for escape within these lower reaches. So, she just looked down--maybe in shame, or maybe because she didn’t have the energy to argue with him for once.
