        the  role  of  guard  amongst  the  tyrell siblings was formerly one cem handed off to his brothers, except they now lived in the grave and while elder sister might tell him it was unnecessary, the responsibility now fell to him. he'd assumed a position outside the door, eyes closed but other senses alert. so the sound of footsteps approaching didn't go unnoticed. he looked up.   ❝ if it's my sister you're hoping to speak to, i'm afraid that she isn't accepting guests at the moment, ❞   he said before the other had the chance to speak or knock. tolerance low but manners not forgotten.

shimmering pools of emerald green looked around with unusual franticness . she didn't like having no way out of somewhere , it made the space around her feel small --- claustrophobic despite it's actual size . she moved through the market place , every opening she found closed off by guards . " shit , " she grumbled as she found yet another route lined with the southern king's minions . " how long do you intend to herd us together like animals ? " she said , her voice carrying toward the guards . talyn huffed as she received no response .

        hand  rested  on  the  hilt  of  his sword even as he sat at a table on the outskirts of the ballroom, a seat that provided him a good view of both the people entrapped and the guards trapping them. dread had made a home in the pit of his stomach and grew as more time passed. sebastian's attention sharply diverted from his scan of the room when someone took a seat at the table. he nodded in greeting but allowed silence to remain as he returned to his observations.   ❝ we're like sheep, ❞   he muttered.

“rhea royce,” she hissed, pulling her daughter back close to her, before smiling up at the person who had kept her daughter safe, “i thank you for looking out for her. she’s too curious for her own good sometimes.”

pim keeps a modicum of earnestness in their expression with practiced ease as another person comes stomping towards them, in pursuit of knowledge of what the eldest targaryen is doing, as if anyone, but least of all them, would have the faintest idea. what information she would get would not come til much later, as in the dark as anyone else, infuriated by it. " the wisest thing to do is enjoy the stalls and its wares while we await what has happened for the guards to be alerted. if you would like, i can take you to one of the stalls for a refreshing beverage ? eirelia  hadn't  intended  to  visit  the  briar  mazes  she'd  heard  talk  of  nonstop  ,  but  the  mistress  of  laws  had  grown  restless  with  how  little  there  was  to  do.  venturing  into  the  maze  seemed  to  be  the  only  attempt  of  amusement  ,  and  so  off  she  went.  getting  bored  rather  easily  was  expected  ,  and  while  she  tried  to  endure  ,  eventually  the  bracken  turned  and  retraced  her  steps  to  the  entrance  she'd  taken.  clear  surprise  colored  her  features  when  two  southern  guards  quickly  informed  her  that  she  would  not  be  allowed  to  leave.  "  excuse  me  ?  what  is  the  meaning  of  this  ?  "  comes  her  clearly  outraged  voice  ,  quickly  turning  to  another  nearby.  "  do  you  have  any  idea  what  is  going  on  ?  "

        there  was  no  trace  of  surprise upon the king's visage as he surveyed the scene in the private garden. in the back of his mind, even as aedar had pompously spoken of peace, harrion had known something else was at play. he'd be more on edge if benjen wasn't currently in his arms and echo wasn't at his side. the lack of his siblings and concern for his people, however, left anxiety gnawing at him. something the wolf picked up on, a low growl beginning.   ❝ easy, ❞ harrion said softly, and echo settled. in time that he only eyed the person who approached a minute later. harry nodded in greeting.   ❝ yes? ❞

        ❝  i'm  lord  tyrell  of  highgarden.  this is my home so you will tell me on what grounds you are holding us all here or you will move aside. ❞ fury was barely contained. it flared even stronger when the guards, southern not tyrell ones, only scoffed at him, refusing to speak or step aside. cem's fists clenched at his side. were many eyes not on him, he might've lunged. instead, he stalked away, holding his head high. a few steps back to the crowd before he met someone's eyes.   ❝ this is not our doing, ❞ he firmly stated. he'd not have his family blamed when the culprit was clear.

        ❝  once  again,  i  don't  know  anymore than you do, my liege. ❞ a fact that frustrated him immensely but also didn't surprise him. the king, for that seemed the only reasonable assumption as to who was behind this otherwise there'd only be guards who bore the tyrell sigil stationed around them, had a habit of acting without so much as informing his council. and now when something was going on, willas was left trapped outside the castle, unable to do his duty to the realm or at least try to advise the king.

their intention in coming to the gardens had been for peace, thinking of no better place to read than in the sunlight surrounded by the bright colors of the tyrell rose bushes. thalina had heard the heavy footsteps of the guards long before seeing or hearing them, making no move to relinquish their spot upon the bench to see what had been happening — flipping to the next page of their novel instead. " would you like to take a seat ? " she asks upon hearing footsteps, not making a motion to look up, a slight smile on their lips though it had more to do with how they had just been thinking it was far too quiet. — @reignrbs

cedrick  had  already  tried  and  failed  several  times  to  convince  the  knights  to  let  him  leave.  his  children  were  trapped  in  their  rooms  with  thankfully  a  nursemaid  and  septa  ,  but  that  did  nothing  to  calm  his  worries.  he'd  demanded  answers  ,  only  to  be  stared  at  as  if  he  were  a  mad  man.  so  the  hand  remains  near  the  entrance  that  was now simply a wall of knights  ,  watching  as  another  begins  to  step  towards  them.  "  i've  tried  nearly  everything  to  get  them  to  let  us  out  ,  nothing  seems  to  be  working.  "

"  under  what  authority  do  you  think  you  have  to  lock  us  in  here  ?  "  this  could  not  be  on  her  sister's  word  ,  the  knights  wore  the  markings  of  the  southern  crown  and  emira  refused  to  play  this  game  any  longer.  she  wanted  everyone  gone  form  highgarden  that  was  not  respecting  the  space  ,  the  top  of  that  list  being  the  mad  dragon  king  himself.  the  guards  only  chuckle  at  the  angry  rose  ,  causing  her  to  huff  and  turn  back  towards  the  crowd  in  the  ballroom.  her  eyes  catch  someone  near  ,  and  she  hopes  they  do  not  think  her  family  is  to  blame  here.  "  i'm  sorry  ,  i  cannot  think  of  a  way  out.  "  she  says  softly.
