i can’t believe i managed to get this done when i said i would lmao but here’s the finished design reference for jesse! i’m thinking i’ll end up doing a proper character reference like i did for romain at some point since this is more of just a design break-down. also wanna delve into why jesse looks like that because there is a reason! i’m not just wantonly giving a ghoul hair and fangs lol

Fresh Start Thoughts
So yeah, I’ve come to the decision that after all the rewrites, retcons, development, and HIATUSES I’ve taken with this blog, I’m gonna be remaking it from scratch.
Padfoot as a character means the world to me, as do all of you who stick with me and my edgy cowboy OC. But the more breaks I take from ADHD fueled interest shifts, the harder it is for me to get back into a blog dedicated to a character that’s VERY different now than when I created it. I’m gonna be much more motivated and clear headed to have a fresh page than to just keep writing in a muddied and worn down scrapbook.
That said, I’m NOT DELETING this blog entirely. Scrapbooks are good for storing memories and I don’t want to lose the ones archived in this blog. I just want a clean slate to work from towards the future.
I mean just look how far this character has come over just a few short years:

That alone is still INSANE to me, but now that I finally have a good overview of his character, it’s about time I actually start doing things with him in an organised and readable manner, with proper tagging that I can begin from scratch instead of editing 2-3 years worth of 600+ posts.
No exact details yet, but I just wanted to give you all some fair warning as to what’s happening before this blog becomes inactive and I start writing on a new one. I’ll be sure to make a post detailing where you can find me once I’ve got time off work to actually focus on it.

I hope everyone has been okay, given everything that's occurred over the world since my last bunch of posts. I'm finding my interests flitting from one hyperfocus to the next, and since they've finally kinda settled back on Fallout I figured I'd come back to this.
Though I'm thinking of starting anew with a fresh blog for Padfoot, I figured I'd post a few things until I make a decision so you guys can see I'm alive at least. Thank you to everyone who's still following despite the long silences 🥰

I made a quick sketch of this a little while ago and I figured it wouldn’t hurt to post it here.
my character doesn’t just need lovers
They need enemies that break them and force them to test their morals
They need friends that will backstab them and hurt their feelings
They need an enemy that will become a friend
They need friends that they would lay down their life for
They need people so close to them that they might as well be siblings
They need fights and conflict and battles that could leave them broken and inches from death
