It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out! The unicorn has sparkle fiber mixed into the white base for a a delightfully subtle shimmer.

Roan is one of my favorite horse colors, so since the first batch included a blue I thought it was time for a red!

This one may LOOK like a kelpie, the legendarily aggressive Scottish water-horse, but they promise not to drown anyone. And they look pretty trustworthy… right?

Blanket appaloosas were one of my first horse fascinations as a kid, so I had no choice but to make one.

I love the chess knight vibe of this sharp black design, especially with that arched neck.

It just wouldn’t be an Irish Cob without the shaggy hair, so I worked out an extra luxurious mane and tail pattern for those who need a little more drama.

On the other end of the spectrum from the luxuriously long mane and tail, I wanted to try a classically decorated Percheron with the tied up bob tail.

When I started making these, I knew I absolutely had to make the Lascaux cave painting horse. There’s no more classic fat horse in the world!
