The main things to know about the AU is: 1. Its a Polyinterns AU, meaning the main ship is Green x Purple x Red, but that does not mean there can't be other ships, if people want to add other ships, go for it. I will not get upset with that.

2. The infection is not a parasite, its a drug people took, it was meant to be a cure for a different illness but instead made the infection. You will only become a zombie if you have had the "cure" made by MIRA, that or bitten by a zombie with the cure still lingering in their mouth.

3. This is not spaceships or planet travel in this AU. This all takes place on the one planet of "Industria" which is almost an exact copy of earth. The species though, are not humans, they are still their little beans with no gender. They were going to get to space, before the apocalypse happened.

4. This AU is not fully developed, so it is very open to people changing things or answering questions I don't have the answers to. Like why Green is not infected fully, I don't have the full answer to, they just aren't for some reason. There is plot though, which is that the polyinterns crew are making their way around looking for a cure, or a way out, they will run into other groups and either have to fight them, or they will join the party, with making Red the leader of their surviving group. Who is bad at leading, but feels like they need to make up for their mistakes.

So these are our lovers- I mean, survivors. Kinda. Green is kind of a zombie in this AU. Let me explain...

So in this world, Red and Purple were both scientists who were studying a cure for something, but there was a mistake and made the zombie virus. MIRA, the company who was studying the cure, wanted to cover it up, and fix it before it spread. Red agreed and wanted to keep helping with make the cure, while Purple wanted to talk about it, because technically, MIRA is now doing "human experimenting" or I guess crewmate experimenting. And so of course Purple was fired, all their notes were taken from them, and they were seen as a crazy person, and could not get another job as a scientist, because "MIRA would never do that!!" Anyways, a few years later, Purple decides to try sneaking into the MIRA building to get their notes back that were stolen and prove that they were right, when doing so, ran into Red, they got into a fight, and by mistake started the entire apocalypse..... No Biggie So now they are together again, trying to make a cure, to fix their dumb mistake. So how does this connect with our lovely Green?

Well Green here is a Zombie who can actually talk and still think for themself. Purple and Red don't know why, or how, but they think Green has the cure in their body somehow. Green is still dangerous though, and is known for attacking Red and Purple when things are too calm. (Reason why Purple has that cut on their face.) So they have to be careful. Other than that, its a slowburn of all of them falling in love.
