I forgot a lot of the details from this after waking up, but I figured I'd jot down what I can remember.
I am guessing I am a teenager and what does every teenager want to do? Some urban exploration of course. In this non-descript town that I live in, there is this seemingly abandonned plant of some sorts, which is some form of combination of aquatic laboratory and chemical engineering plant. Crawl through the rusted-out hole in the the fence, and lets go checking out the environment.
I stumble across this room which appears to have a few computers, and a station with a microphone. In the front of the room is a large 40 foot wide by 15 foot tall glass window. The window appears to be a viewport into a large tank filled with this swampy green water, and several robotic things in the water. One of these robots appears to be about the size and shape of a roomba, but all black, and a green glowing light on its front. When looking around the room, one of the computers appear to have a log of various tests that they have been performing.
"Console input for control: Failed" "Radio input for control: Failed" "Beeps played through speakers: Subject lights up briefly, moves in tank, and shuts down" "Audible commands given in english: "Subject lights up, stays on for 100 seconds, and shuts down" ....
In going through the various logs, it seemed that this robot primarily responded to sound, and tended to have various interactions with clicks and beeps, and not so much with spoken language. Out of curiousity, I decided to go up to the microphone and see if I could do anything with it. I held down the button that said "Transmit" and tapped on the microphone a few times. Sure enough, the robot seems to turn on, and face the direction of the speaker. I decided to tap on the microphone with a quick rythym, and sure enough, the robot begins moving around the tank. After a moment I decide to "speak" into the microphone, but using an inhaled voice tone that is kinda clicky and deep. "Rise." The robot turns to face me through the glass, and ascends to the middle of the tank. Excited, I begin telling it to move around the tank, which it fully responds to. After a few minutes of playing around with this, I decide to try saying some random commands to see if anything happens.
"Expand." Nothing. "Attack." Nothing. "Awaken."
A larger figure that I could not initially see in the back enables itself. It appears to be a larger robot in the back portion of the murky tank, about 10 foot tall, and kinda remniscent of the bionical bohrok. The small roomba robot moves over to the larger being and enters the head area of the larger robot. The large robot turns on several green lights, and moves forward to the window within the tank.
"Connect."
The robot seems to whir to life, and loud screeching and clicking sounds seem to emit from the glass barier. I keel over in pain from the sound, and with a flash of light, I am knocked unconcious.
When I wake up, I am in some form of infirmary. Several scientists are surounding me, and are reviewing several charts and other pieces of information. I sit up in the hospital bed, and try to ask what is going on. Apparently my voice is weak, and nobody notices what I say. I attempt to scream out for attention, in which people then notice me.
-----
And this is when I am losing details from the dream. Apparently I became a captive test subject for this mysterious group, as I have somehow established connection with these alleged bio robots. In my first week of trying to work with them, my voice was essentially deteriorating, and after the end of the week, I lost my ability to verbally communicate entirely. After some panicing episode of nobody understanding me, I freak out, and cause the alien bio robots to go balistic, killing me and everyone else in the process.
I then timeskip back to the hospital bed, and I immediately establish with the scientists that I am going to lose my voice within a week. They establish some form of therapy of trying to maintain some form of my voice, while also testing my new abilities with the bio robots.

And yeah that's when I woke up.
