They say wine tastes better the longer it ages, but, is that always the case?

Oh my, what a busy year this has started off to be! Per the usual, I’m behind on blogging. Meh. BUT!!! Here’s one of the really cool things I got to do as part of the Wine + Food Festival this year! You’ll notice my stills in the video, and also that they spelled my last name wrong. Not famous quite yet, it seems!

Yay! Carolina Tails is finally out, so I can share a few of my favorites from this issue. To kick things off, I loved sharing in this shoot with Elizabeth Bradham, Charleston Animal Society President, and her sweet pup Alice. Let's be honest, dog's are a girl's best friend. 

Another dose of cute today thanks to a shoot with Alka Construction for their upcoming website! Tell me that dog doesn't have an amazingly expressive face. 

This is how fall makes me feel every single year! More fun around town with Alka Construction. Do you remember how much you hated scarves as a kid?

Day two of still life play with Alka Construction! How badly do these samples make you want to redo your home? My favorite one is the last combination. The textures and colors are just perfect. 

I'm not a beach girl, I'll be honest. Not a summer one, anyway. Too hot, too sticky, ugh. But!! I do love it in the winter! This early morning shoot for Alka Construction features the cutest, most inquisitive little ginger you've ever seen, and all the beauty that is Charleston's Folly Beach. Enjoy!

I get to work with all sorts of people as a photographer, and it's one of the things I love most about my life... But. Every once in a while, it's so much fun simply to play with light, texture, and form. For this part of my shoot with Alka Construction, they let me loose with a bunch of snazzy samples, none of which I'll ever be able to afford. :) Which is your favorite?

Another day, another project! Part two of my shoot with Alka Contstruction: some nature glam shots. I kind of love these!! Any job where I get paid to traipse around the forest is a dream job to me. 

And now, for something completely different! 

My favorite part of being a full time freelancer is that you really never know what you're going to be doing next: it could be anything from photographing race horses to panhandling on Market Street! For instance, today tumblr will not let me use periods as punctuation! Awesome! Anyway, this winter I had an absolute blast photographing some photos for Alka Construction's new website, coming soon - check out some of my favorites!
