Thoughclaimed by different loyalties, Liliane cannot bear to truly fight againstAyato.

It comes down to it that neither can take theother’s life, and both parties retreat from their combat ( with the unspokenpromise to fight till death the next time they meet ).
And yet, they would never meet. Liliane wouldgive up on her loyalties to Furuta, and leave the country to seek a new lifeelsewhere. Ayato and Lili do not meet again.
