Ask on a date

          Here he was, finding himself challenged by the request of another. A request that would seem so natural, as part of everyday human interaction, yet, he can’t restrain the thought of how bizarre this was, like if he was forbidden from such a prospect. A date --a word defined as a social or romantic appointment-- is what he was offered by a boy named Shōto Todoroki, who hasn’t proved social or romantic prowess himself, at least, in Shinso’s eyes that is. Optics narrow at multi-colored ones as if he wanted to see beyond and look into the mind of the other, wondering, what thought process was operating in his head when he elected Shinso to be the receiving end of this question?

Shinso knew that he wasn’t the best candidate for an activity that was meant to engage a person’s attention for the sake of a good outing, and was painfully aware that he held no abilities in entertaining a conversation much less promoting the right words. Surely a recommended student would realize how maybe two introverts wouldn’t kindle an ideal date. If not, which probably was the case since this conversation existed between them, then at least he should be acquainted with his disinterest in making friends, a fact he made evident during his training with the hero department. All of this made little to no sense to the boy, his brows furrow at an explanation not coming immediately. He can only synthesize how terrible the outing would be in his part, inexperienced and shy. Clouded by a fluster, Shinso was oblivious to how apathetic he would sound in the ears of the other.
