mechanical mediocrity

It started with an open door.

That was a lie. It started well before that, Megatron simply preferred to lie to himself and live in a reality where he hadn’t been battling an obsession with his second in command since meeting him. A mech he wouldn’t have even trusted to scrub a miner’s pick axe, but Megatron was stuck treating him as an officer in his army because the fool still had some respect amongst the High Guard. 

The problem was that Starscream was attractive. He’d awakened things in Megatron he had never felt before—and not just his fusion cannon. A strut deep desire infected his lines, a hook in his spark tugging him towards the cowardly, deceptive, gorgeous piece of scrap.

Luckily Megatron had plenty of other things to distract him. Attacks by Quintessons, securing energon supply lines, skirmishes against Orion’s—no, Optimus Prime’s—troops. Megatron’s ill-advised infatuation took its rightful place in the back of his processor.

Until he walked past an open door.

Admittedly, privacy was not in high supply in their volcanic base. For a group that had been on the run for decades, survival trumped all else. While Megatron was used to cramped quarters from his time in the mines, the former High Guard were very…used to each other.

Which was how Megatron had accidentally wandered by what he thought was an empty barrack, only to hear the incriminating sound of moans. He would have walked away, leaving his troops to relieve their stress, had he not recognized the raspy sound of Starscream’s vocalizer.

Megatron, cursing himself even as he did it, glanced over and saw Starscream, optics dim, pressed between both Skywarp and Thundercracker.

The latter was at Starscream’s back, arms wrapped around his chest, fondling his turbines and kissing his throat. Starscream keened and reached back to run a hand down Thundercracker’s cheek. Skywarp was between Starscream’s silver thighs, mouth doing something to Starscream’s array that was apparently exceedingly pleasurable, judging by the way Starscream’s mouth worked, wordlessly, open and shut.

Megatron’s engine revved.

Panic took hold of him and he scurried away, desperately hoping the trio had not noticed him. They probably hadn’t. They seemed rather occupied.

Days passed, and Megatron thought he was in the clear. None of the seekers acted any differently around him. Starscream was just as screechy and annoying as ever.
