Literally what was going through my mind when i was writing this post

No words can describe the suffering we endure here in Gaza. Life no longer feels like life. Today, with the border crossings closed once again and humanitarian aid halted, our suffering has doubled. Even the most basic necessities have become an unattainable luxury. Like thousands of other families, my family struggles to survive in this nightmare. We live among the rubble, carrying water from long distances because our infrastructure has been destroyed. Prices have skyrocketed, making food and medicine nearly impossible to afford.

Every day is a new battle, and every moment without food, medicine, or hope adds to our pain. We ask for nothing but the right to live, the right to safety, and the right to find someone who will stand with us in this darkness. To everyone who can help, to every heart that beats with compassion my family needs you. Every contribution, no matter how small, could mean the difference between life and death. Please, don’t leave us alone in this suffering.

He called her because he was about to go risk his life and most likely die and he wanted to hear her voice one last time. He didn’t want to reveal that it was him calling because if he were to die that might could have made it worse for her.

And why do they claim he never called her before that? Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t. We don’t know. I know that if he didn’t, he had his reasons (valid or not). I don’t care what y’all say. He loves and cares about her. yes he could have tried harder as a father, i agree, but he isn’t going to just carelessly never talk to her again unless he had some kind of reason. (like protecting her, but ik either way there is really no good reason to never talk to her again)

Jun-ho is incredibly important to In-ho and is his biggest and perhaps only weakness. That little bit of humanity in him is because of Jun-ho. They literally are intertwined so deeply, that it can’t be ignored. His relationship with his brother gives so much more dimension to his character.

Gi-hun only has his daughter left. It may not look it unless you think deeper, but he cares about her so much. If he were to have a happy ending, it would to be with her. It would to be a proper father in her life who could live without fear that she could lose him.

gi-hun is hugely empathetic. gi-hun is a naturally good and complex person with rational and irrational thinking. gi-hun has a naivety which creates and encourages irrational decision making and clouds judgement. gi-hun is naturally trusting and people gravitate towards that, the good AND the bad. gi-hun automatically sees the good in humanity whilst taking note of their faults but not judging them too harshly for them. gi-hun is very intelligent both socially and emotionally. gi-hun struggles and continues to struggle with debt, addiction, trauma, and betrayal but doesn't let it define him too negatively. gi-hun is passionate and whimsical. gi-hun is forgiving even when he shouldn't be but a person with a kind heart will forgive long before their mind catches up.

then, after killing her father (rightfully so), ji-yeong wasn’t given a second chance at life — she was immediately incarcerated until being released and later sent into the games by the recruiter.

she quite literally had nothing to live for. the only person she could have lived for was forced to kill her due to the games.

honestly, she had one of the saddest stories in my opinion. she wasn’t even given a chance to live happily.

well we know what they did to him but let me be sad.

he wears his trauma now. it changed him completely. ugh all this show does is HURT ME.

the only thing that hasn't changed is his trust in people. how did the weight and cruelty of everything not ruin his perception ? like moments after sangwoo killed saebyeok he was still trying to save him. it made him trust inho as young il so quickly. it's how he connects and makes groups in these games so fast. it's what gave inho perfect opportunity to stop his little rebellion. to betray him.
