I’ve come across a few boxes of my old stuff and… gosh, I forgot how much I draw. Because of my ADHD, I’m not really able to keep a sketchbook and stick with it. So, I’ve always just drawn on whatever I had to hand at the moment. I don't like to do a base sketch in pencil, so these are all no-reference straight-to-ink sketches.

My first week of drawing everyday is done! I can’t believe I got this far. And with a finished piece as well.

It was such a joy to post this today, mostly because… it’s done! And that’s a pretty big deal to me.

I used no reference, just letting my mind flow.

6. DAY 6 OF 30 of drawing everyday - ADHD Edition

Yep, I haven’t been posting every day, but I have been drawing every day!

When I started doing this serie, I promised myself I wasn’t going to chase the algorithm, and this is part of that. I got quite ill and I only had energies to do only one thing, and as an artist I will always prioritise creating over social media.

What do you think? Does it still count?

Ps. And I caught on camera not only the moment when my mechanical pencil’s tip broke, but also when the nub fell out. I might do a video just about that one. I feel better. 😂

I used this audio because it cracked me up in correlation with my OC navigating the ship! (Plus they are called Vesa, which makes it extra funny to me). From their expression, it might be very much what they are thinking!

This audio resonates a lot with ADHD experience too, that sense that you know where you want to go, or do, but you can’t.

I feel like today was fairly easy, since I had time and really wanted to finish this drawing. I especially wanted to define the animals. But it got more frustrating as I was going over and over the details… Is it finished? I’m not sure. I feel like I need to add a sense of depth.
