One thing that gets me about cultural marxism is that it's always so so so so cynical. Like... the very idea that there is a universal, objective truth or objective beauty is fundamentally opposed to marxist sociology. How could that not be cynical? You're so devoted to tearing down systems that you tear down humanity and goodness and morality itself and regard them as subjective "systems" that are mere narratives to get certain people more power. How is that not the most destructively soul-rottingly cynical thing in the world? Marxism is like if the ultimate ideological cynicism was a political philosophy.
And then people wonder why marxist politicians and activists embezzle and commit fraud. In their mind, everyone is like them in this dog eat dog world. Integrity is a fiction meant to subjugate you to the system. Wake up! Cynical capitalism exists and I hate it, but marxism is not some kind of idealist alternative.
