Definitely looks to be pure dog. I see no wolf in the animal.

Here is a couple side by side comparisons. Of a high content wolfdog Selene and a low/no content Max. There is so many people out there with animals that look like Max that try and say they are highs, and try to say there is no difference in they’re looks and a pure wolf.

Doesn’t appear to be wolfdog to me! Lots of dog traits: large, thin, pointy ears; dog coloration; a flimsy, curved tail, etc.

Also, notactuallycute, like the previous “Wolfdog Protects Kitten" video, this isn’t one isn’t cute either. (Don’t let your prey-driven dogs play with small, prey-like animals. It could end extremely poorly; a quick snap of the neck and bye bye ferret).

Wolf-Dog pups

It took me a LOT of digging, but I was able to find the breeder of these pups and more photos of them.

This breeder is also the photographer of many well-known photos that are passed off as “wolfdog” puppies.

So… are these puppies actually wolfdogs? They’ve been labeled as “high contents” on various sites in the past. (You can compare them to “real” high content wolfdogs here). Since puppies are hard to phenotype accurately on their own, let’s look at mom and dad…

Here is dad:

(Isn’t it strange how dad looks “just like” a Husky/Malamute mix? He’s got a Malamute build, a curled tail, blue eyes… it’s almost like he’s a dog!)

Here is mom:

(Mom appears to be predominantly Husky and has lots of dog traits: a Husky build, a curled tail, thin and pointy ears, an occasional snow nose, dark eyes, etc.)

So… how can the pups be wolfdogs if neither mom and dad are wolfdogs? (Spoiler: they’re not!) The pups are most likely Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mixes. Could there be any wolf in there? Unlikely.

"Real" high content wolfdogs are born DARK and SOLID (no defined markings). They are ONLY born in the spring. They should not have pointy ears or blue eyes, either. They should look "just like" real wolf pups. (If they do not, they are NOT high content wolfdogs).

While I’m sure you don’t mean to, you are contributing to misrepresentation when you post photos of Huskies and Husky/Malamute mixes as “wolfdogs” (and tag them as such). (A “real” wolfdog will never look “just like” a regular Husky or Husky/Malamute mix. You can see what “real” wolfdogs look like here.)

While I can’t see this dog’s body, I suspect this dog is probably “just” a Husky (as opposed to a wolfdog). Some telling characteristics: a blue eye, a snow nose, thin ears that are most likely pointed (Husky ears), a defined mask, etc.

Looks like a Malamute to me! (Lots of dog: pointy ears, defined mask, brown and rounded eyes, shortish legs, a thick muzzle, etc).

Nova has turned really white already. I’m so glad she is going to be white like her daddy, which is what I hoped. She is a high content Wolfdog pup, mixed with Grey, Alaskan interior, and Arctic Wolf.

This is a Malamute… (Lots of dog: a defined mask; large, pointy, thin ears, a snow nose, short-medium legs, a medium-wide chest, etc).

Hi, I have done my research. What was said about your kennel was (and I'm not going to name names, but this was from a very knowledgeable and respectable person in the wolfdog community):

"Very, very bad misrep. Claims very high contents/pures with the exception of one white GSD mix.

I have seen a few adult animals that were supposed to be "very high content." Born in October, curly tails, clear nails and all."

You may not like it, but this blog is for education, and that includes exposing fraud breeders.
