Light’s name being Light is so symbolic to me even though it probably didn’t really (thanks o&o). He burns bright and he burns out. He dazzles everyone around him but inside he is vapid and nothing but air. He’s started a wildfire and he’s getting consumed by it equally, he’s feeding the flames and he is the fuel but he’s desperate to let it eat anyone else. He burns out L and swallows him whole. He’s a mirage, a heat delusion. He’s cruel. He’s life. He’s the ring at the edge of a black hole. He’s the moon- he only reflects others.
