I’m making a stingray in ceramics now. I’m not in any other art classes, though, so I’ll only be able to update on ceramics.
Still making the sting ray. I’ve missed a lot of school, so… that’s why this is taking so long. Lol.

Making lanterns now. My vase didn’t explode in the kiln, so that’s amazing! 😌😌
This is coming out better than I’d hoped. Finished the cube shape today, now I’m just smoothing it and making the corners a crisp point. This project shouldn’t take as long as the others, that much I’m grateful for.
This project is taking longer than I thought it would. Rn I’m starting to cut out my design and such. Took forever to smooth the sides out into something that I could live with. No perfect, but I’m over that now, lol.
Started piercing today. Should get done sometime in the next couple of days. I have the entire week to do it, so… I feel like I would have gotten farther had he not disappeared, because sometimes he just doesn’t tell me anything and then I overhear that I fucked up from him telling someone else, so I didn’t want to chance it. So I waited for 30 minutes for him to come back and approve it and then walk me through it.
Got one side completely cut out. :) It looks good. Is it obvious it’s inspired by Gatsby?
Stayed after for two hours to get it all cut out. There are some broken rods, so I’ll have to soften it and fix em. Other than that I think it looks great. I can’t wait to get a golden glaze on it, my teacher thinks we might have just enough.
Teach fired em. I don’t know when we’re going to glaze them. Hopefully soon. I think it looks really ugly. But apparently that is just me. Sigh.

I’ve been working on this for about four or five days. Things are totally off, but that’s fine. I just want to get it sketched out, ink it, and then marker or colored pencil it in. It’s my final and I legit don’t care about it. It’s not as fun as drawing my grandpa.
I don’t know why the gray stuff is there? It wasn’t there when I took the photo nor when I was drawing??? Or maybe the room was just too dark??? Maybe I was too tired? Maybe it’s wet? I wanted to post an update and this bitch now has designs on it??????

The recent version. I’m almost done, now I’m starting to think about what I want to exterior design to be. Anyone have any suggestions?
Completed with the coils last week on Thursday, now I just need to finish smoothing it as well as making the top look better. I need to pick a design I want to put on the outside, too. I don’t know what I want to put on the outside, though. Any suggestions?
I’m smoothing it rn. So… almost done. Lol. I still haven’t figured out a design for it, though. I kinda want to do something engraved, but I just don’t know what. Eh. I need to smooth it first, so I have time.
Now I just need to design it. Lol. I think I’m gonna go for a scale type pattern. I think it would look pretty if I then did an ombré blue to green glaze over it, too.
Didn’t go with a pattern. I’m gonna do the ombré tho.
Still haven’t finished it. I don’t know what we’re waiting for, but they’ve been fired and are now just sitting there, waiting for glazes. :/ I’d really like to get them done. I want to give it away as a gift.
He mentioned seeing if we could spray on the glazes. So maybe we’re gonna do that? I’m wishing I’d don’t that design. It looks so plain. :/ Ah well.
