Toy Story 4 (2019)

Quick Review:

A movie that seemed entirely unnecessary wins back fans of the long-running franchise within it's first few minutes - which are unexpectedly emotional and a delight to watch. With a charming new cast that gives the movie a comedic kick, Toy Story pulls no punches with an equally stellar script, epic action scenes, and the best animation quality of Pixar’s career. Couple that with an ending possibly more gut-wrenching than Toy Story 3, and Toy Story 4 manages to (hopefully) conclude the saga on a high note.

Sonic The Hedgehog (2020)

Quick Review:

After Sonic the Hedgehog released its now-notorious first trailer, it seemed like it was doomed to fail in all aspects: animation, story, and substance. The final product is an excellent example of why audiences should always keep an open mind (and nag about animation quality on the internet). Sonic is a surprisingly hilarious and entertaining replica of Alvin and the Chipmunks, while also tuning down the childish aspects of the aforementioned franchise, resulting in a movie that isn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination (there are quite a few plotholes) but leaves audiences happy and satisfied. P.S: Jim Carrey totally rocks here!
