Hopefully the federal government shutdown will be over by then haha · I took this picture earlier this week using exposure bracketing, which stacks several images of different exposures into one picture. · This shot took several attempts over two days. During the first session, light clouds creeped in and covered the moon just as the moon moved above the Capitol building. On the second session, the soft sunset slowly surrendered to a cloudless twilight creating a stunning scene for this shot. Flashback Friday — Six years ago on this date, I was a volunteer responder with the @RedCrossNY responding to the destruction caused by Superstorm Sandy in Gerristen Beach, Brooklyn, one of the hardest-hit areas (which is still recovering!). While walking around the neighborhood to assess the extent of the damages, I came across this pile of belongings and trash outside a house.
