So Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles go trick or treating and they hear screaming from a house and they're Team Sonic, they Save People, it's literally What They Do, so they go knock and the door opens on its own

And anyway it's this whole plot constructed by Shadow, whom they still don't know is alive, and has also made friends

So like the whole thing is all floaty glowy stuff (Silver doing his floaty glowy thing) and a giant blast of flame swinging at them from the ceiling (Blaze hanging from a wire) and like invisible hands softly tapping them (Espio doing chameleon things)

And yk Knuckles is freaking the fuck out cuz ghosts and Tails is trying really hard to be brave but he's just a wittle guy and Sonic is like "pffft I'm not scared of some dumb OH MY GOD SOMETHING TOUCHED ME SOMETHING TOUCHED ME I CAN'T SEE IT BUT SOMEONE'S THERE I mean I'm totally not scared at all and this is child's play"

And once Team Sonic runs away screaming, Blaze, Silver, and Espio all come out of their hiding places and congratulate each other on their awesome work and then Espio is like "hey Silver, nice job with the floating ghost girl"

And Silver's like "I didn't do that. I thought YOU did that."

And then they find out that none of them did the floating ghost girl or the creepy haunted marionette Pinocchio puppet thing so they're like "Shadow must have done it" and so when they ask Shadow about it he's like "idk what you're talking about" so they all freak out because WHO DID THE GHOST AND THE PUPPET and they all run away but Shadow stays behind and it's revealed that he also recruited Belle the Tinkerer and Sage to help without telling the others

and I don't mean like one of Main Character's friends, I mean like one of those kids that only exists to make the school look inhabited

I can't really explain it but the best example I can give you is this:

Y'know that kind of scene where a character dies and goes to the afterlife and meets a dead loved one who's like "it's not your time yet, go back 🥲 I love you"

With Game Maria, it would be something emotional, like:

Shadow: *dies, meets Maria in afterlife*

Game Maria: "You're not supposed to be here Shadow, it's not your time yet. I love you and I'm so proud of you, but you have to be brave and go back to save your friends. They need you. I'll be waiting when it is your time to come back. Good luck."

Shadow: *comes back to life, stronger because he got closure now*

Meanwhile with Movie Maria, I feel like it would be more...

Shadow: *dies*

Movie Maria: wtf are you doing here? no. go back. you're not allowed to die. idiot space brother. *throwing afterlife popcorn at him* go back. go rescue that blue gumball son of a bitch. no dying. grandpa, tell Shadow he's not allowed to die. fuck off. you're not supposed to be here. go back to being alive. loser.

but yk that's all FILTERED Greek mythology because it's for kids

so like in PJO it's all "yeah Medusa got turned into a monster because she and Poseidon fooled around in Athena's temple with FULL CONSENT" or "yeah Persephone totally went with Hades WILLINGLY and definitely WASN'T TRICKED into eating the pomegranate"

but then you start reading real, unfiltered mythology and it's just "this woman was r@ped by [insert god here]" and "this woman got abducted and r@ped by [different god]" and "this lady was punished for getting r@ped by [god] and they blamed HER for it" and "[god] turned this woman into [some kind of animal] because she didn't want to fuck" and "this lady cheated on her husband and therefore her baby is part [random animal]" and "this lady's husband disappeared so ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT MEN are gonna go try and force her to marry one of them and in some versions of the story she was R@PED by EVERY SINGLE ONE and then gave birth to a GOAT MAN named PAN and then her husband showed up and committed Mass Murder and they shared a little inside joke about their tree bed and had a happy ending BUT THEN HIS SON FROM AN AFFAIR HE HAD WITH A WITCH SHOWS UP AND ACCIDENTALLY KILLS HIM NOT REALIZING THAT WAS HIS FATHER and then ends up MARRYING HIS FATHER'S WIFE and guy's son from his marriage with the og wife ends up MARRYING HIS DAD'S SIDE CHICK/HIS HALF BROTHER'S MOM but it's okay because it's TECHNICALLY not incest :)"

cuz like if she did this whole campaign and protest and shit she'd become extremely unpopular amongst society

but if she just acted really neutral/casual about it and use psychological warfare against them she could do it in like a year

just mention casually in an interview

"Oh, no, she wasn't evil. She just didn't like what was happening to the animals."

"So she was just a misunderstood animal rights activist?"

"Yes, exactly. Her methods were a little over-the-top, but she was a good person. Anyway, back to my skincare routine."

just planting little seeds of doubt one by one, get people talking, but never engages in the debates herself

but like she never actually says anything bad about the Wizard, never mentions that he's a fraud, because that would make people hate Glinda and so her efforts to make them like Elphaba would all be in vain

and then all her little comments eventually build up into the release of an autobiography that's technically about her, but really it's just a biography about Elphaba

and then the public opinion changes enough that the day Elphaba "died" becomes like a memorial day kinda thing and she's rebranded as a hero to the animals or some shit like that and also it's just casually mentioned at the end of Glinda's book that the Wizard was Elphaba's dad

But it's not about the public actually liking Elphaba. Glinda loves her. The public loves the IDEA of her, if you know what I mean.

In a hotel room

I was 15, hysterically sobbing while my 9 year old sister tried to comfort me

And the worst part?

I was crying about a movie that I picked

It was the only good thing on TV at the moment

I sobbed at the ending like someone who had just lost EVERYTHING

The movie?

Like some time after Curse of the Black Pearl he's hanging out with his new crew and he gets a random letter inviting him to the wedding and Will wants him to be the best man or something because Jack is literally his only friend

Would he even show up? Just imagine Will and Elizabeth chasing Jack across the seven seas to try and get him to their wedding

Or he's not even invited and shows up anyway

the movie is coming out in less than 2 months people, get a move on!!!

for your own sake, just imagine the main character as Ryan Gosling from the beginning, otherwise you're gonna have that "wtf he ain't supposed to look like that" moment when you watch the movie

amazing book, 15/10, I super duper recommend

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir (also author of The Martian) is possibly the best book I have ever read

I am less than 3 minutes in and I think Anakin's already about to throw a temper tantrum

palpatine is definitely trying to make Anakin mad by suggesting something he knows Obi-Wan will say no to

The animation style is beautiful I love it

Nevermind, no tantrum, Obi-Wan's A+ Parenting saves the day again

Anakin has been promoted to Commander and something tells me that it's going to End Horribly

Not a big fan of Padmé's new Hairstyle Of The Day, but her purple dress is gorgeous and I want it

half of this is just fighting with zero dialogue and I love it

obi-wan does not have the High Ground™ because anakin has a giraffe neck apparently

ventress is here and i like her

Someone decided to spend their time calculating that, and then calculating the difference between the air speed velocity of an African swallow and a European swallow (I think I'm remembering that right).

And I want that person to step forward.

Because I must know.

But math is not my strong suit. I got literature.

Like if you watch Scott's channel (DangThatsALongName) it's just like "i'm an elf :) i live in the mountains :)"

and then 3 episodes later it becomes "ok turns out i'm reincarnated Deer Jesus :) and joey's Gay Satan Boyfriend is my evil demon brother :)"

and then 6 episodes later it becomes "yay i have uncontrollable ice powers and i accidentally shot my wizard neighbor in the face with magic snow so i'm gonna go hide away in the Arctic and live in an ice castle and this an obvious rip-off of Frozen and we're not even trying to hide it"

and then he comes back from his Elsa phase and nobody ever talks about it again and at one point they fight his Gay Satan Brother and everything's chill

or if you watch Lizzie's channel (LDShadowLady) it's just like "i'm gonna rule the ocean and make a castle out of Prismarine"

and then 3 episodes later it's "i'm a fish god and the swamp dude is my weird little brother and also Scott and I did a musical number"

and it's impossible to summarize this fucking SMP but it's beautiful

and season 2 is a little less unhinged but still absolutely wild

11/10, would definitely recommend

Which means all the others are like 6

But they're so mature

And they're already bullying each other like middle schoolers

And then they're tossed into war at the age of like 7

I just

They're babies

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Shadow (whom they may or may not have kidnapped and basically gave him no choice but to be their friend) are getting pre-fight dinner at some pizza place a few blocks down from the celebrity event, debating how to sneak in

And some guy in a trench coat and fedora in the next booth is like "I might be able to help you" and he takes off his fedora

And it's Keanu Reeves.

Not as a character, just as himself. And y'know in the first movie Sonic expressed absolute adoration for mr reeves while Tom and Maddie were watching Speed, so our favorite blue hedgehog is freaking out

So reeves conspires with some female celebrities like Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift like "hey can you guys smuggle these fluffy alien kids into the event under your conveniently poofy ball gowns"

And then Knuckles sees Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and boldly marches up to him like "ah, a fellow warrior! I have witnessed your victories in battle upon the moving picture box known as the 'teevee'!"

And Johnson is faced with the question of "what to do when a talking fluffy alien 16 year old space anteater praises your wrestling?" but before he can answer, Knuckles follows up with

"is it true, Man of Stone, that you were once a real rock, but were such a great rock that a divine power turned you from a rock to a person?"

And with a perfectly straight face Johnson is like "yes, that's exactly what happened."

And then after all the action it cuts to Sonic and friends chilling in that pizza place with Reeves, Johnson, and whichever female celebrities smuggled them in under their dresses. Knuckles is arm-wrestling Johnson in the background.

they saw 5 stars in the shape of a Y and thought "yeah that low key looks like a crab to me" and then decided to name it Cancer

And at the end the FBI guy crashes Waldo and the FBI sidekick's wedding but instead of making drama he walks the FBI sidekick down the aisle because they have a kinda father/daughter relationship and her real dad died years ago

FBI guy gives Waldo a stern talking-to about how he's only free because FBI guy pulled some strings, and he can totally revoke those strings and throw Waldo in jail if Waldo does anything to FBI guy's sidekick daughter

Scene after the end credits reveals that one of the wedding guests was actually Carmen Sandiego in disguise and she's there because Waldo is the only person skilled enough at evading the authorities and she needs his help for a special mission
