Young Cardan is breaking my heart
There was this very specific moment in the beginning of “How the king of Elfhame learned to hate stories”, right before Cardan entered his brother's mansion for the first time, he was standing in front of the gates, and his thoughts were "You can't frighten me, you can't befriend me, either" "I am not weak" and stuff like that and the first thing that happened when he entered was his brother telling him that a mortal woman is gonna hit his back until it bleeds....
This book is really making me sob
I'm rethinking everything right now because I realized that much of Cardan's character was created by his brother (Balekin). The rings, the clothes, the behavior, the drinking, his brother even gave him drugs.... And he humiliates him in the most horrible ways

Hi! I tried something new and I wanted to share it to see if it's something or not. (The video is Jude's thoughts) Basically, I imagined Jude at the beginning of "The Queen Of Nothing" walking alone during the night and overthinking everything.
I am sure I have grammar\spelling and especially mistakes with the tenses, so I would be very thankful if you let me know where! (Also sorry for this, I am trying, but you know how it is)

After the end of “The Queen Of Nothing” Jude is still mentally recovering and she and Cardan try to spend more time together after Cardan “died” and after all the days she spent hiding and fighting. On a rainy night, they are all cuddled up in their bed, while there is a storm outside and Cardan is reading “Alice In Wonderland” to Jude until she falls asleep.
