I know that, as a fandom, we never shut up about taylor’s songwriting but we don’t talk about it enough! She co-wrote every single songs shes ever released and then when people were doubting what part of the lyrics, melody and instrumentation should be credited to her she went and wrote an entire album by herself. It’s undeniable that she’s talented and she didn’t even feel a need to go and defend herself every five seconds and let her work speak for itself because she knew it’s good. And whenever she talks about songwriting it’s so evident that she loves her job. All I want is more The Making of a Song videos for ts7 tracks, Genius interviews for the singles or for her to do a Diary of a Song with The New York Times because the best interviews are the ones where she gets to talk about her craft rather than get asked questions about her past and/or current relationships that she won’t answer anyway. In conclusion Taylor Swift is an artist that never gets enough credit for her work even though her discography (not her last two or three albums - literally everything she’s ever made) is both critically acclaimed and widely liked by the general public. Like she definitely gets recognition but more so for how business savvy she is and for her sales but like… she deserves so much better as a songwriter.
