Where the hell have I been?

I bought a condo (yes, bought!) with my now husband who I married on 11/11. YES, I GOT MARRIED! So life has been.... wild.

This last year has been super distracting, but I AM still writing and I STILL do NaNo, I just haven’t had as much time to post about it. :)

Now that things are finallllyyyy setting down for me, I’m trying to get myself organized writing-wise again. I’m editing more. I’m focusing on getting my name out there. I am in the midst of creating a Facebook author page, which I’ve completely avoided up until now. I’ll give you guys the details when it’s up and running.

That being said, I just wanted to check in. I’ve been super busy, but I’m extremely happy, and am preparing for the first ever holiday season/Christmas with my husband. <3

Yeah, it’s been a rough time, not gonna lie :(

It really is. And I’ve been trying to find jobs I could do from home (so I can still at least earn some sort of income), but they all want a degree and x many years of experience. It’s so frustrating - I know I can do the work I’m looking for! I do have experience, but I don’t have enough for their standards. I worked as an editor for a publishing house for almost a year until they closed. And I’ve been working as a copywriter for a couple of companies for 6 months and a year, respectively - but both of those jobs have been as a ghostwriter, so I don’t get to put my name on them, and thus it isn’t good enough.

What I need is someone who will just give me the chance to prove that I can do the work. If any one of these jobs would just let me show them my work, I’m sure I could get a good job. Because I can do the work. I have done the work.

Yeah, sometimes family stuff really sucks. Good news is that my brother just got a new job, and he might be working things out with his ex, so he may not be around too much. Hopefully. *crosses fingers*

I can’t imagine doing all that work and then not being able to take credit for it/use it to benefit your job search. Keep your chin up! Something’s gotta give. <3  My pleasure! I checked out your website last week, but my half sister was in town, so I got super busy for a while. (: I’ll have to give it another go!
