Holla at yo boy! Don't call something a fad, if it's been around for twenty years. You shouldn't call people trend chasers if they didn't have a chance to play it back then. Took a certain type of person to buy that genre of game to begin with, then you still had to buy more equipment to fully play it through. It's an Advent to see how far tech has gone. It's good being people together and out of their comfort zone and meeting people with similar interests. Sure there's gonna be fuck ups and predators who see this as an excuse to take advantage. When isn't there? Use a little logic. Don't drive and play, or drink or talk on the phone, just drive and that's it, anyways. Dont let your kids get in danger or yourself for that matter, when playing. If anything, I dont like the faction mentality because it breeds prejudice instead of the passion to raise above through skill of power. If you don't like it for whatever reason, I'm sure there's a personality trait you own that ain't so shiny and rare. If you think it's some type of conspiracy, so what? At worst, it's the powers at be preparing us to fight weird aliens or have to walk miles because of a progressive ice age. At best, it's media control to distract you from a broken system and various Wars happening around the world. There's like 3 or 4 still going on right now, but what are you gonna do about it? Nothing. Let people enjoy a small bit of entertainment; whether they need a disconnect or to be mentally challenged. I'm human enough to say I need both.
