had a disappointing moment like a month ago where my friend that i was rewatching twd with said she didnt want to keep watching the show :( she said she was getting annoyed that a lot of the show was human on human conflict and not zombie on human which like fine you're entitled to your opinion but i just thought like. its an 11 season show which i told you before we started watching so like. what did you think they were gonna fill 11 seasons with.
anyway we stopped midway through season 4 literally RIGHT before the governor attacks the prison and everyone scatters and that arc of everyone being separate and looking for each other is soooo good and i thought she would love the episode with beth and daryl because its one of my favorite episodes in the whole show and she was a big daryl girlie
like ive watched the beginning of twd soooo many times with soooo many people and i just like. want to get to season 5 just once. i want to see eugene and get to a part in the story that i havent seen 1000 times you know? you're entitled to your opinion and you dont have to watch something you dont want to watch but i just thought all the things she was saying about why she was getting annoyed at the conflict were all things that are like pretty intuitive to like. all zombie media. like she said she was getting annoyed that everyone was dying and new cast was being introduced and im like. yeah. its a zombie show.
and before we started watching i showed her a powerpoint (bc im neurotic) which included like. trigger warnings and stuff like that and i said there was like. a lot of character death and what not but like again. its an 11 season show. did you think that everyone was just gonna survive the whole show and nothing bad was going to happen to anyone? and also that human beings wouldn't be the bad guys at any point? if both of those things were true what on earth did you think the show was going to be about.
anyway a DIFFERENT friend of mine agreed to watch twd with me and i explained this whole debacle to them but like. it just means. im gonna sit down and rewatch seasons 1-4 again. i guess.
