anyway, the first thing that set me off was this here font:
i guess its the product of a popular 'cartoony' style generator, because i see it a lot with similar ai sloppage
(really cringe example. im sorry, theres no other word for it. it makes me recoil. cringe.)
of course, someone in the replies pointed out the way primes head clips weirdly into the speech bubble. i also point out some other errors that just...dont look right--megatron looks kind of funny, like the computer got confused and gave him eyebrows instead of that silly triangle grate thing lol. plus, megatrons like weirdly...too narrow, right?
maybe thats enough to set off some alarm bells, but those are errors/stylistic choices that real artists can/have made. i know bc ive been drawing tf fanart for a while and proportions are hard lol. i think the best course of action to do in this situation is to visit the blog and look at ops other posts.
^a bunch of fully rendered pieces uploaded within a short period of time (in different art styles, no less!). i guess i dont really have the...vocabulary for it, but they all have an artificial...sheen to them, right?
well, their blog title is also 'ai kaon' lol.
all of this is to say, if youre having trouble with an individual image--look at the context it was posted in. check out the account itself. theyre arguing in the replies of the original post i screenshotted calling people bots or whatever as well. i dont know, im too lazy to unblock them and look at the replies.

fandom is...for fans. anyone can be a fan, regardless of the things they make--art, writing, fansongs, headcanons, animation, whatever. this 'content' op has posted is nothing. its the mashing up of years and years of fanart OTHER PEOPLE have made, loaded into a woodchipper and spat out for the enjoyment of no one. no ideas have been expressed. no passion has been shared. it is internet waste, and here it is in some niche fucking internet community.
and yknow what? it looks like shit. every generated image they post is the result of some computer averaging out years of fanart, and spitting out the blandest possible result. its lame as fuck. i bet if the op put in an iota of fucking effort, they could make real art. even if it doesnt look good, even if they didnt like it, itd be something they fucking made because they enjoyed the source material. but they didnt. were drying up lakes for fanart of robots that just looks like shit. theres no artistic intent, no nothing.
um...yeah. i dont know. just call this shit out when you see this, if you can. block liberally. frankly, i think the people who use genai at all should be ashamed, but trying to get clout(...?) in a niche fandom with ai is sinking to a new low, in my humble opinion.
