I think ive settled on children of the goddess not really having the same family structure as human beings because while Rhea has a mother in Sothis it seems like she was created like a creation myth from Sothis's blood, and so her relation to her ""siblings"" is not really that. I mean the original name in JP is けんぞく, which my phones keyboard will not let me easily produce the proper kanji to write it with, but basically it's a name for blood-related family members, that even has a secondary meaning of "followers" or "underlings", so children, while pretty apt, is also a pretty affectionate localization for the original word. It also seems incredibly likely that seteth married his ""sister"" and well I think that begins to explain why the children of the goddess, while sharing a close bond, don't exactly see each other as siblings in a traditional sense. Very much adam and eve vibes going on here. I still feel off about Seteth being older than Rhea (i dont believe it!! Its not true!!!!), but it's okay maybe I can just live in denial forever
