THE LONG-AWAITED WEBSITE!!!!

It's not perfect- Strawpage's design tools are... not great- but I did my best to bring you all a Tumblr-free transcription of all my lessons. This is probably the most labor-intensive thing I've done for this page (next to the character polls). Four months of blood, sweat, and tears... and now, she LIVES!!!!

Some Notes:

I created it with the intent of Desktop use, so Mobile might have some issues. If it's not working on your phone, try desktop.

Out of the multiple browsers tested (Firefox, Google, Edge, Brave, Safari), Firefox had some issues sporadically.

I'm still going to post lessons on here, first. This page is priority to me, and the website is more of an archive.

The fonts are normal past this opening page.

Hornet Silksong for the new DTYIS challenge by @creatingblackcharacters!! :^D

I loved doing this one I had so much fun!! I wanted to do the lovely bug lady justice, I hope y'all like it! I don't know too much about Hollow Knight, but I think it's very cute!!

To start, I had a few styles in mind, but I settled on two large braids styled like the horn shaping of her mask, with silver clips at the ends, and her hair is also white like her mask!

I gave her a deep and vibrant brown skintone and I like to think it shimmers like hornets and bees do!

I kept her outfit relatively the same, but I gave her some really cool knee-high matching boots!! I also tried to give her heels the needle-like shape her feet have in canon, idk how well it worked lol

Her eyes a midnight brown, and if you look closer at them, there is a bit of pattern I put there to resembles a hornets eyes!

I gave her freckles I love freckles and I think she looks so adorable with them 💛 :^DD

I give all my own bug ocs sharp teeth, so I did the same here, and also added a cute set of silver grills and also some earrings!

This one took me a bit only bc I couldn't decide on a pose 😭 I think I picked a good one though >:^)

- First I did some research on Afro-Cuban fashion! I absolutely adore the headwraps, there are many different kinds and I thought Ermes would look stunning with one, accented with the square beading she wears in her hair in the original design, and added some purple beads for a pop of color!!

- I gave her a rich brown skin tone, and a little bit of purple in her eyes, the gray is alright but I think the purple really adds to her color palette!

- I gave her some jewelry, I saw many beautiful ladies with golden hoops and they're just darling so I gave her some as well, along with a purple bead necklace! Purple is very complimentary with greens and orange/yellow tones!!

- I liked the gold arm bands she had, but I changed them up a bit to sleeves!! I also liked the green and yellow top she has on, I did make some changes to the design as I thought the diamond shaping on the front could do more here!

- Painted nails 💅 y'all know I love to paint nails!!
