Thoughts on AI 'art'
I honestly think that AI 'art' will not replace human art. If you look at people's perspective on it, it is soulless, bland, and insulting to actual artists. Nobody values it as art.
Where it will likely thrive is in commercials. We are already seeing it- Coca Cola, Mc Donalds, and mobile games have already made AI made advertisements. It's cheap, quick, and doesn't require weeks of work and paying people to make it.
Meanwhile, human-made art will probably thrive. As long as there is no scarcity to human-made art, prices will remain the same and the skill will not be lost. The demand might even go up.
And with AI on the rise, the music industry will probably turn to darker music. Currently safe and simple music like mainstream pop is popular, but Sleep Token that leans towards the darker side has outranked Taylor Swift on the billboards.
Nowadays everything is so packaged and sanitized that people are going to start craving the opposite, and AI art will likely make this stronger because it has the same vibe.
