(btw i might redo my account a bit since i want to make it mostly art related stuff and possibly draw things that people ask. But here is some art i did in the mean time)
I wanted to make their design stand out, so I created them from scratch; they're not loadouts you can find in-game. Plus a little bit of character description because I'm dying to talk about them and their roles in the story (*wearing a shirt that says "please talk to me about my fic"*).
Now I can finally draw them often!!

I tried to design them the way their silhouettes and colors stay recognisable, as if they were meant to be used in-game later, to not to break the gameplay rules. I also wanted them to look as tf2-like as possible, I studied the hell out of the 3d models and on the last three I guess it started to turn out decent. Drawing Spy is still pain though.
Or maybe it's just that I'm not attracted to the majority of the mercs visually?? That's why they don't look satisfying?? Lmao. Need to adjust them to my tastes later.
I'm not sure I can exactly explain my design choices with these... How exactly they correlate to their characters. There is something, but I went for it fully intuitively.

For BLU scout I went for the softer, rounder oversized clothing to accent his insecurity and the need to shield himself for comfort. It still needed to shape his torso (game rules) but his hood and sleeves do the deed. There is also a strict rule in how to draw his freckles: they look more like moles and there's 7 or 8 of them. You won't believe me if I say this is lore relevant.
For RED Scout, I went with the more aggressive military style. I think I literally took this jacket design from a real military one. There should be an accent on his heavy relations with the army. His clothes are tight because he still likes himself.
RED Sniper is giving hunter vibes, forest type. BLU Sniper looks more like a fisher or a winter hunter. Not sure what deeper meaning I could assign to this except that BLU Sniper was heavily referenced on Ogata Hyakunosuke.
BLU Spy should radiate tiredness. His look is quite unkept for his standards but at this point it doesn't matter anymore. The turtleneck and the boots are special requests from @/gentlesurgeryenjoyer (xoxo)
BLU Medic just looks so freaking cool in a black shirt. It was a vision. I'm not sure if black and white accents mean anything in terms of which side those characters are on. I also wanted to separate him from another famous horror witnessing Medic.
And Miss Pauling was the most satisfying to draw, it was a gift to draw her last... I gave her pants because it's getting cold outside at the time when the story takes place. I also find it very impractical to go killing job in a pencil skirt, I'm sorry. She probably also wears snickers underneath.

well kinda, in pure ability he’s likely one of the smartest irkens seen as he was one of the few irken scientists, he also makes most of his tools and upgrades his pak (which it seems like most irkens can’t do, requiring most of their equipment to be premade)
of course that’s already pretty obvious in the show, but my main point is that he knows what people actually think of him, the tallest literally said “i hate you” to his face and he just doesn’t actively acknowledge it
it seems like he knows (atleast somewhere deep down) it’s just that he despises to actually acknowledge it
there’s been multiple instances where he’s actually confronted with the fact no one cares but everytime that happens, he sees that people pity him and immediately snaps out of his depression (mostly shown in the movie and the quarterly)

he’d rather keep his ego intact than actually accepting some form of help

i think something similar is happening with how he acts on earth, kinda pretending to be naive/stupid for the sake of keeping his emotions together
he has destroyed/took over multiple planets SOME DURING THE DURATION OF THE SHOW, yet suddenly can’t think of a single way to successfully take over earth
he’s a extremely capable soldier, yet ‘struggles’ to kill a child
EVEN THE CHARACTERS NOTICE HES BEEN GOING EASY ON EARTH
it seems like he wants to stay on earth, even in the timeline where he successfully takes over the planet, he stays
earth and more importantly fighting dib gives a purpose in life
he NEEDS to have dib constantly thwarting his plans or else he just gives up entirely
it doesn’t seem like he actually cares about taking over earth that much, all he wants is approval from his tallest
he wants them pay attention to him, to care about him and invading in his eyes seems like the only thing left that he can’t screw up
he gets to see that in the timeline where he takes over earth, he actually gets that approval yet realizes how stupid it all is
it’s not enough for him to stop but it’s likely enough for him semi-give up on actually invading earth
with this, there ARE two people who will pay attention to him, that will care about him
Dib and Gir, their entire existence revolves around giving him something, gir with helping him and dib with thwarting him
(there’s also mini moose I GUESS)
part of the reason he’s defective is because he can love, and want to be loved
irkens are supposed to only care about the tallest, meanwhile zim literally says he loves mini moose and cares about all his robots (even giving the purely battle ones names “once you name it, you get attached to it”). he also cares about dib to a certain extent, choosing to save him when he doesn’t have to (this is shown in the comics more than the show)

I was gonna draw Zim wipe blood off his lips but then I was like "How do Irken's bleed?" And then I was in a rabbit whole about the anatomy about Irkens which didn't help. However, I am obsessed with Invader Zim so maybe that's ok.

I'll be perfectly transparent: I'm not going to be coming back to this blog permanently, as sad as it makes me to say it. I can't progress any further in Obey Me without paying money to a company that I simply don't want to indulge anymore, and the whole situation - how this genuinely wonderful story with these genuinely endearing characters and this genuinely talented cast has been ruined by the company itself - has made me feel quite bitter towards Solmare, so despite the fact I want to keep loving this game, I just don't think I would be able to put my whole heart into it; and the people who enjoy this blog's content deserve better than that.
I would like to, for one week - from December 14th to December 21st - open up roleplays and writing requests one last time, for old times' sakes and to say goodbye in the way I feel this blog's followers deserve.
This blog has brought me a lot of joy, at the end of the day; I've met a lot of friends here, had a lot of laughs and smiles, and seen so much wonderful and creative fan content. And I don't just want to disappear on a bitter note and leave it like that: I want to have one last dip into the Devildom and bow out on a high!

Since I couldn't use Medibang anymore I had to draw using ibis Paint on my phone. It was pretty difficult and different since I mostly draw on my computer but I'll try to get used to drawing on my phone.
Back to Catan! I wanted for him to blend in with the rest of the brothers. I'm not sure how outfits look like in devildom but all I know is that they mostly wear jackets or overcoats since it is always cold. I really like how it turned out and I hope you all like it too.
Apparently there has been an update on medibang. I use it to draw a lot and I wanted to finally get back into drawing plenty of drawings that I haven't finished because I was busy (and also unmotivated), but because now I can't get into my drawings anymore I think I might have to delete them. Which to me is something I don't like doing because I have many drawing I hold dear to me.
I thought that medibang was free? I never had a problem with it before and had always been drawing digitaly there. I guess now I may have to find a new source although I really like this very much because I draw on my computer then transfer into my phone. It is such a shame that they had to do a premium, I can only guess that it's to make more money but I really liked this app before the premium :(

He was just doing his paperwork and didn't notice a cat come in the room. When he finally looked up because he felt something staring at him, he jumped a little. A hairless cat... is staring at him? "Is this a prank?" Lucifer thinks because he has never seen a hairless cat. It terrifies him a bit and, at first, he thinks he's hallucinating until the cat keeps messing with his feather pen that was in his hand. Lucifer took this as a sign to go to bed.
Mammon
When Mammon was going to bed after a long day, he jumped so high when he saw a hairless cat staring at him. Literally acts like the cat is some sort of alien. "How did ya get in here?! Are ya some sort of spy?" He asked as if the cat can respond to him. Slowly brings his hand to pet he cat and jumped a little when it meowed. Mammon soon got comfortable with the cat. He got a new rant buddy!
Leviathan
Levi was into his game that he didn't notice a certain intruder in his room. He only noticed the cat when it jumped on his keyboard. Levi never screamed so high... "A cat... BINGUS, IS THAT YOU?!" He screamed. The only brothers that knows Bingus. Shakily pets the cat until he gets remembers his game. Dies inside when he sees "GAMEOVER" on his screen. Cries and rants to the cat.
Satan
Satan was reading a book in his room, he was really into it that he didn't notice a hairless cat coming in his room. He heard a meow and immediately put down his book and saw the cat. He did not care for looks and just went full on baby mode on the cat. "Aww, what a precious thing you are! Yes you are! How did you get in here?" He cooed. Went on a shopping spree with the cat. Oh Diavolo...
Asmodeus
Asmo was just doing his nails and heard some pitter patters. He quickly turned to where the noise was coming from, scared that it was a rat. When he saw a hairless cat, he screamed. When he calmed down, he tried to take in the sight. "A hairless cat... A hairless cat is in my room staring at me.. Okay!" He panicked. Asmo didn't know what to do and got Satan. Asmo doesn't like Bingus. :sob:
Beelzebub
Beel was hungry and, of course, he went to the kitchen. When he looked in the cabinet, he jumped back when he saw a hairless cat. "You don't belong here..." He said while picking it up and putting it on the floor. He didn't know what to do at this point. Beel wanted to feed the cat but didn't know what was harmful. They had a small staring contest while Beel was in thought. In the end, he got Satan. Beel fed some treats to the cat. :)
Belphegor
Belphie quickly sat up when he felt something on this stomach. He was just taking a nap... "A cat... Hairless cat? When did they make those..." He drowsily said. The cat put their paw on his nose which scared him awake. A hairless cat is on his lap?! He doesn't know what to do. So Belphie does what he does best, he pats a spot next to him as an invitation for the cat to curl up next to him.

- Belphie and Beel would have a car that they would share
- Beel would have some candy and an emergency snacks on the front just in case, he also has cute Keychains around the front mirror (one is a doughnut squishy)
- belphie is the president of the back seat and he keeps some blankets and pillows there
- belphie also puts those pocket things that goes on the back of the front seats and has like tissues and cough drops for him because he likes cough drops
- belphie also puts those light up star stickers on the ceiling of the car because they look nice
- they also take turns driving and will also let Mc drive (as long as they know how to drive)
- I like to think that the car can also move the ceiling down so that once they have a good spot, they can move the top and look up at the sky while they are in the car
- most of the times the car gets dirty because beel always leave the trash in the car and also belphie is to lazy to clean it all by himself
- they only get motivated if Mc encourages them to clean the car together with them
- beel mostly cleans the outside while belphie and Mc clean the inside
- they also have a car air freshener so it smell nice
- the car is only for the attic club sandwich to use, no other brothers allowed
