First off i dont know how obvious this is since i havent seen anyone talk about it but my theory on why exactly Miss fortune, Nasus, Sona and Trundle were chosen to partake in the cinematic together with Ryze is because they best represent the world runes and at the same fit nicely to the serious tone of the cinematic. Miss fortune represents the precision rune(you could say Caitlyn would be a better role for that since she is supposed to be a sniper sheriff yadi yadi yada but can you imagine a girl with big ass gun,mini skirt and big ass purple hat running around trying to look serious?She would simply look stupid,that is also why they changed miss fortunes clothing from a bikini to something more practical just for the cinematic)),Nasus the resolve colossus rune(i mean he is literally dealing with a giant,a colossus right here in this scene)-

-Sona represents the sorcery rune and Trundle represents the domination rune as he clearly shows power and domination when meeting ryze and as being the king/leader of trolls. And of course since there is no inspiration rune there is no one to represent it so i started wondering, where is the inspiration rune? This leads me to my next theory

Ezreal has something to do with the inspiration rune based off of this official riot artwork .Look at the positioning of his hand ,as you can see ezreal isnt trying to grab it meaning he doesnt wish to keep it/have it but what it looks like he is doing is fueling his weapon with and from what we know  Ezreals power doesnt come from within him it isn’t really HIS power, it comes from that little gem sitting in his glove. You can see in the image how the waves of power kind of swirl into Ezreals weapon,as if it was fueling it. That leads me to the center of this theory: Ezreals weapon will be fueled by the inspiration rune in the future, now stick with me for a second so i can explain myself. First off riot has hinted on the LPL stream that Ezreal will be getting a update,they said it will be “small”but we all know how it works with riot,they are artists so if they get sucked in into a topic they wont stop until they get the best outcome and change what is necessary (thats what happened with the darkins and their lore for example) so the possibility that ezreal will in the end receive a new lore update is there and the possibility that the inspiration rune will be a part of him in the future is also there. a little description about the rune is “outwit mere mortals” and “rule bending” and when to think of it, Ezreal is a mortal, he is human but his powers arent and that draws a line between him the other mortals. No human can naturally teleport just like that,but Ezreal is bending the rules and when doing so he can outwit mere mortals. So what i predict for the future is that ezreal will receive a vgu update together with a new lore that will basically state that Ezreal is the inspiration rune keeper or something along those lines.So in summary;Ezreal may get a rework and somehow be connected to the inspiration rune.
