Originally meant to post this WAYYYYY back in February but it ended up taking a lot longer to write than I thought (Cough cough, it's all Jade's fault, cough cough) Kinda nervous to post this but I wrote and rewrote this whole thing like 20 times so it is how it is. It also came out a little different than the original idea, but I genuinely don't care.

₊˚⊹♡ He loves being able to share parts of his world with you, especially knowing you didn't grow up there so all of it is totally new to you. He's so happy seeing you get so excited over things that are so mundane to him.
₊˚⊹♡ Movie Nights at Ramshackle are a MUST; with or without the other first years. He loves spending time with Deuce and the others, but sometimes he prefers when it's just the two of you.
₊˚⊹♡ He likes to tease the others (mostly Deuce) by acting all lovey dovey sometimes. Laying his head on your shoulder with a smug grin, feeding you, or kissing your cheeks... Will get SUPER flustered if you call him out on it though.
₊˚⊹♡ He likes doing little things for you sometimes; buying snacks on his way to Ramshackle, or paying extra attention in class so he can take good notes for you if you're not there. The biggest thing though is when he lies for you, sending Crowley on wild goose chases when he knows you need rest, or hiding you around the corner when someone's chasing you. Despite his test scores, he's surprisingly perceptive, and will always be there for you when you need a break.
₊˚⊹♡ He likes being able to do things for you, helping you do homework or solve little problems... That said, he often makes more problems than he solves, so don't be surprised if you're BOTH getting chewed out by Riddle.
₊˚⊹♡ He's very physically affectionate, especially in private. Though, it's not always sweet things like fleeting kisses or cuddling... sometimes it's wrestling for the last bag of chips until you're both worn out on the couch, or smacking you a little too hard in the face during a pillow fight. (He'll make up for it, but not before you smack him back)
₊˚⊹♡ He practically lives at Ramshackle now; always finding some new way to invade your space. Stealing your bed, lounging on your couch, eating your snacks... he's almost as bad as Grim
₊˚⊹♡ Ace is a man who lives for adventure, always getting himself (and you) into some kind of trouble, but sometimes he's okay just spending quiet moments with you alone. It's times like those when he gets to just sit and think about how lucky he is to have you.
LEONA KINGSCHOLAR .⋅˚₊‧ 🜲 ‧₊˚ ⋅
₊˚⊹♡ He may act aloof and unbothered, but Leona THRIVES on attention; especially yours. He loves making sure that your eyes are only on him, be that with gifts, subtle touches, or even little Acts of Service.
₊˚⊹♡ Growing up in the Sunset Savanna (as a prince, mind you) means that he views taking care of you as just part of his job. Why wouldn't he? You're his lover! What good is being a prince with a FAT wallet if he can't use it to spoil you rotten? He loves being able to give you things no one else can.
₊˚⊹♡ He WILL make sure you have everything you could possibly need; food, clothes, spending cash for when you wanna go out, etc. He wants to make sure you can treat yourself whenever you want to.
₊˚⊹♡ HE WON'T EVEN ASK! He's perceptive enough to know when something's on your mind, so whenever he sees that certain look in your eye, he'll toss you his wallet without a word.
₊˚⊹♡ This even extends to more practical things; your bed is too rickety to nap on, he's getting you a new one. Leaky roof? Ruggie is Very happily up there patching it up the next day with a little extra weight in his pockets. Leona might be too lazy to do everything himself, but it still gets done, doesn't it?
₊˚⊹♡ He also loves just spending time with you, hearing you talk, curled up together in his room or the botanical gardens for hours on end. He likes being able to monopolize your time when you're not busy running around with those knuckleheads you call friends, or doing weird errands for the headmage.
₊˚⊹♡ He'll never admit it, but it's his favorite time of day, being held tight in your arms, head on your chest as you run your hands through his hair. He lets you get away with so much... you can fiddle with his braids or even pet his ears when he's like this. (He'll pretend to be asleep, for your sake. He knows you wouldn't dare while he's awake, but he secretly loves the feeling)
₊˚⊹♡ More than anything, he loves being your first choice. The lazy second prince is always the first one you come to with your troubles. Of course, Leona being Leona, he won't offer to solve All your problems for you. He likes that you're able to handle yourself, and as much as he enjoys taking care of you, having your own independence is important... but he may just give you a big hint on what to do.
₊˚⊹♡ Overall he's just a big softie who loves being there for you; it's how you know he cares.
RUGGIE BUCCHI ּ ֶָ֢ ࿐ ࿔*:･ﾟ
₊˚⊹♡ Growing up, being vulnerable meant serving yourself up on a silver platter, so he'll be cautious around you! Especially when you start getting closer. There'll be a little part of him that wants to avoid you; that says you're only being so nice to get something out of him.
₊˚⊹♡ For Ruggie, the key to his heart is stability; grounding him, making him Truly Believe that for once he'll be okay. He's not in a position anymore where every day is a gamble. That feeling alone is something priceless for the hyena, so when you finally manage to worm your way into his heart? He's going All in.
₊˚⊹♡ Ruggie Bucchi is a busy man; that much anyone can see. From running around doing errands for Leona, or odd jobs around campus, he's Constantly Busy. So, when you two finally start dating, one thing he'll do is make sure he always has time for you in his day. Even if it's nothing more than a quick chat and a stroll in the courtyard as he carries things to and from, a quick kiss as he dashes through the hallways, he makes it a point to see you a couple times a day.
₊˚⊹♡ On the rare occasion the hyena doesn't have anything to do, you'll always be the first one he comes to. You'll sit together in the courtyard for lunch, his head on your lap as you chat about your day, or go out to town for a special date (on Leona, of course). He doesn't like staying in one place too long, but these moments with you, relaxing in the grass, not working or even worrying about next week's cash? Just existing at your side... it's like heaven to him.
₊˚⊹♡ He's not particularly touchy, but when you've managed to carve out a spot in his heart, you can poke and prod him however you'd like. He knows you won't hurt him. So take the chance to do as you please! Pet his ears, hold him close, kiss him all over! And watch as his cute lil face dusts red under your touch. (Just be prepared for when he gets his revenge!)
₊˚⊹♡ He'll be lazy with you too. Not without complaining that the two of you are turning into Leona, but he loves cuddling with you. Who cares if Leona wakes up a little late cause he just had to cuddle you a little longer? Not like the lazy lion would get up anyway.
₊˚⊹♡ Being completely and utterly in love with you, Ruggie basically makes you a part of him. Everything he has is now yours, too. His plate? More like OUR plate. You're free to pick and choose whatever you'd like, so long as he can do the same. His room is covered in your stuff, and your closet full of his clothes... but the same goes for him, too! He'll constantly be bringing snacks and groceries over to your place, or stealing the one cozy blanket you own (totally not as an excuse to have you stay in his room). Your wallet is basically free reign, but don't worry, he'll make sure to bring you something later to make up for it.
₊˚⊹♡ He'll bring you things, and do things for you, and make sure you're taken care of because you do the same for him. He views you as part of him now! Taking care of himself means taking care of you, too.
₊˚⊹♡ Of course, he'll still be rather busy, and being so completely vulnerable with you scares him sometimes. His heart is fragile in your hands, but he knows you'll take good care of it.

₊˚⊹♡ As soon as he's hooked on you, he drops all pretenses. Whatever image of him you had in your head? Shattered. He no longer has any reason to hide his true intentions; you're already his, after all.
₊˚⊹♡ Despite his gentlemanly appearance, Jade is just as much of a hazard as his brother, often pulling harmless pranks like popping up around corners or moving your things two inches to the left. Sometimes he'll even enlist the help of his twin, seeing if you'll notice the difference if they switch places or having him chase you down in the halls so he can "save" you. All in good fun, of course. The mini heart attacks are worth it to see that toothy grin on his face.
₊˚⊹♡ As always, Jade's face remains serene and unbothered. Try as you may to catch him off guard, it always seems like he's ten steps ahead of you. It's not easy to get him to let his guard down, but it's worth the effort when you get to see the extra wide smiles, showing off all those sharp, pretty teeth he always hides, or the subtle widening of his eyes every time you do manage to surprise him.
₊˚⊹♡ He loves you soo so much, you have no idea. Its obvious in the way he lingers around you for as long as he can, often inviting you out to various adventures. He'll gaze oh so longingly at you from across the courtyard, never bothering you if you're busy but always staring. If you're lucky, you can see it in the way his hands twitch towards yours when he walks beside you, giving away his unspoken desire to hold it, or the way he amps the "gentleman" persona tenfold when you're near. It goes unnoticed by all but Floyd, who teases him for it as much as he can. (Be prepared to hear his whining though when Jade slips more mushrooms into his food than usual…)
₊˚⊹♡ For Jade, love is like an intimate interrogation; a never-ending battle of wits to keep each other on your toes. As much as he enjoys teasing you, he loves it even more when you clap back at him. Surprise him, intrigue him, make sure he always has more to learn about you. The thrill of knowing and being known always has him in a rush (he really is just whipped for you, isn't he?)
₊˚⊹♡ He likes when you ask him about his home; sharing information and customs, or even just simple stories about his family. He'll tease you for it when you ask though. How bold asking about his family so casually… are you trying to imply something?
₊˚⊹♡ He likes hearing about your home too! Tell him all about your life, and your family… all the strange new holidays and activities you'd do. (And if you find yourself feeling nostalgic, he's always there for you to lean on)
₊˚⊹♡ He's not incredibly affectionate, or at least that's how it seems. In truth, he loves the slight spark that goes through him every time he holds your hand, or when you press a quick kiss to his cheek. He adores your warmth; something so unfamiliar from his home in the sea. His favorite thing is when it's just the two of you, in his room or yours, or somewhere else private. His gloves will be swiftly removed, his hand holding yours with his head on your chest so he can feel your heartbeat. He'll listen closely, memorizing its pace as you pet his head or caress his cheek. You’ll have to forgive him for being uncouth, but he just can’t resist holding you like this… curling up around you as though he still had a tail (though he makes a mental note to try this in the water sometime). Not a word will be said between you, and if you listen you might just hear the content chirps and trills coming from his throat. (Aquatic noises go brr)
₊˚⊹♡ He likes when you're gentle with him… all soft and mushy… humans are strange like that but he'll be damned if he doesn't take advantage of it. However… he likes when you rough him up, just a little bit. Ruffle his hair and kiss him stupid; make him walk back out to the Mostro Lounge with his usual pristine collar undone. He revels in the dizzy feeling he gets after the onslaught of your affection, but it's even funnier if you manage to scandalize Azul and Floyd. A blow or two to his reputation is worth it if it means seeing the horrified looks on their faces. He'll fix it after a while; he needs to maintain an air of professionalism after all, but he'll always make sure to leave traces of you on him.
₊˚⊹♡ The same goes vice versa of course; he'll bring you gifts and adorn you in things from his homeland, things that are completely and unequivocally his. Not that anyone would be foolish enough to try taking you from him, but it's nice to see you all done up anyway.
₊˚⊹♡ For all his teasing and coy nature, you'll never once doubt how much this eel loves you. You can see it in the little things he does, always walking behind you to cover your blind spots, or treating you at the Lounge (much to Azul's dismay), but by far the most obvious tell is how he looks at you like you're the most precious thing in the world. It's hard to spot but you see it in the corner of your eyes; smile wide, eyes half lidded with an adorable sparkle in the same way he observes his mushrooms. His shoulders slumped, fully relaxed and the ever so subtle way his hands shake at his sheer adoration for you… You never fail to make his heart pound, and he knows that for as long as you'll have him he'll be by your side.
₊˚⊹♡ Loving and being loved by Floyd Leech is always a gamble. A man who doesn't hide or sugarcoat his feelings, who does what he wants when he wants to. It's no wonder everyone looked at you crazy when you first announced you were dating him.
₊˚⊹♡ They're mostly worried he'll get bored and break your heart, or that he'll drag you into more trouble than you bargained for. But you know exactly what you signed up for, and for all his whims and antics you know Floyd adores you just as much as you do him. For an eel as spontaneous as he is, the biggest way to tell he loves you is in how... consistent, he is.
₊˚⊹♡ He never gets bored of smothering you in affection. Squeezing you tight, picking you up and twirling you around... He likes kisses the most! It's not something merfolk do often, and it's not nearly as warm or soft as you are! Every time he sees you, alone or in public, he just has to pick you right up and start kissing you all over! Not a spot on your face will be spared, and he loves how embarrassed you get when he does it out of the blue. The shocked and scandalized looks of everyone around you (usually Azul. Jade will usually just smile from afar, happy his brother has found someone special) are to die for, too. He has NO shame, and won't bother hiding how much he adores you.
₊˚⊹♡ He'll stay like that for hours on end, usually dragging you off to his room after a while, where he can curl up around you and keep you trapped for as long as he wants. Forget whatever else you were supposed to do today, isn't he much more important?
₊˚⊹♡Of course, he likes terrorizing you just as much as he likes loving on you. He'll constantly be chasing you down the halls with a crazed laugh, or popping out behind corners to catch you off guard. (The tweels just like being assholes sometimes, but its okay we love them)
₊˚⊹♡ Floyd is an eel who despises routine, but there's a small exception! That being mornings with you. After a chaotic sleepover in his room or Ramshackle, he'll always wake up the exact same way. Sprawled all over your bed, arms wrapped tight around you, maybe his teeth in your shoulder (he's a sleep-biter). He'll usually wake up first, taking a moment to just... stare at you; thinking about how cute you are and how lucky he is to have snagged you before anyone else could. Not too long though, it's boring when you're not there to talk to him, so he'll wake you up with a few more kisses (and bites), spend an extra few minutes loving on you before yanking away the blankets to start the day. Sometimes he'll even cook for you if he's in a good mood, though don't be surprised if he makes a mess of the kitchen.
₊˚⊹♡ Much like Leona, Floyd views taking care of you as just another thing he's supposed to do, even if he has more unconventional ways of doing so. Tired? Prepare yourself to get chased around all day and invited to an all night dance party. You'll sleep real good when you finally tire yourself out! Mad about something? How can you be when he's sitting in front of you making silly faces? Despite his impulsive nature, Floyd is highly intelligent, and incredibly perceptive. He knows when you're down in the dumps, and will never fail to make you smile.
₊˚⊹♡ Jade teases him sometimes for just how whipped he is for you. He'll invite you to everything and get Majorly bummed when he doesn't have your attention. He'll try harder in class or basketball when he knows you're watching just because he wants to impress you (Jamil begs you to keep coming for basketball- it's the only way he stays on task! This backfires though cause sometimes he'll wanna just ditch the whole event to go hang out with you.) Floyd might scowl at his brother's teasing, but he won't let it stop him. He's just jealous, that's all!
₊˚⊹♡ Floyd Leech loving you means being his main priority 100% of the time. Any whacky adventure he can think of, he has to drag you along. He'll be constantly looking for you, chasing you down the halls and tormenting you to no end, but he has his sweet moments, too. Holding you tight, but being careful of your fragile ribs, bringing you things or just strolling along behind you.
₊˚⊹♡ When he's not scaring you out of your wits or smothering you in affection, Floyd loves just being around you.... but that all changes when he's in a bad mood. This eel will do everything in his power to avoid you. You'd be surprised how such a tall guy can slip into a crowd... even Jade can't find him when he's like this! It's not because of anything you did, he just doesn't want you to see him while he's all bummed out. He wants you to think of him as someone fun to be around! As a good mate who can take care of you, not as another chore for you to deal with!
₊˚⊹♡ It'll take some reassurance but after a while he'll start seeking you out during bad moods. He'll sneak into your room, or drag you away without a word just to lay down on your lap, or on your chest to hear your heartbeat. He likes feeling your skin against his; the softness in your eyes as you look at him and remind him that you're undeniably human. So soft and small and so loving.
₊˚⊹♡ You'd never survive out in the ocean, but that's okay, because you have him now! That thought alone is enough to pull him out of any bad mood. He loves you, and you love him, and now that you're all his he can take care of you and make you just as happy as you make him.
