Got my correct sized window blind replacement today. The installer let me keep the two blinds that were being replace. They are really nice wood Norman Phenix wood . I am going to use them for sure to cover the now painted crown molding. I measured and will have more then enough to go around the great room and even my bedroom. I might even have enough to cover my kitchen cabinet doors but not sure if that idea will work. The crown molding idea for sure. The wood blind slats are 2.5 x 26.5 inches each. There is a total of 84 slats. Which if I did my math correctly that’s 2226 inches divided by 12 gives me 185.5 feet of slats. My crown molding is 56’ in the great room and probably half that in bedroom. my cabinets are 15” wide it’ll take 6 slats per door. There are 7 doors I want to cover. Finally got this beast installed. I bought it directly from Whirlpool website which took over a months to deliver. Then after I finally received it I was told it needs to be in its own circuit. So my electrician who has done lots of jobs already told in my condo seemed to be MIA. I would get ahold of him and he’d say he’d come install it but then never show up. Not a peep as to why. So searching for another electrician found out just to put a new outlet to the electric panel would be $600 to $800. The microwave only cost little under $400. I found a guy that said he would do the new plug and install the microwave for $600. Although after looking him up in Build Codes seen he wasn’t a licensed electrician and his company’s CCB license was expired from lack of liability insurance. All these thing aren’t only a good idea to hire with but for HOA a requirement. I was about ready to give up when finally my electrician finally came to install. He didn’t get to my place until 7:00 last night but I wasn’t complaining. He actually being a real electrician installed the new microwave plug inside cabinet above connecting to the appliances circuit and didn’t have to go to panel with its own breaker. This saved me a bunch of money. It cost $462.50 for microwave and a recessed plug in my floor that was shattered. Now that I see this microwave installed I see I really need to have my cabinets replaced. This microwave sticks out more than I think looks good. Oh well it works great. Tilesetter got a lot done today and was only stopped by the row of tile on one wall that needs all those tiles cut a bit. He will take them home to cut and come back to set those. Then next is the grouting which is going to be grey tinted. Love the grey tile line he suggested to make it look not so plain. Next step of waterproof hardibacker with a red guard product applied. It needs to dry for 12 hours before the tiling can start. Today my new bathtub was set in place and hooked to new drain. Very happy with what other plumber picked out for me yesterday. At the time I told him just find one that’s not so tall so I don’t trip when ai step in to take shower and higher end model. Last night I started panicking cause I was concerned that he might have ordered a fiberglass one which I absolutely did not want. I Was pleasantly surprised that he ordered an American Standard Americast which is porcelain cast iron but modern and not as heavy. Theres a StanSure slip resistant surface on the bottom of tub. Tomorrow the tile setter will start his part. He actually did most all of the tub settling as the plumber really didn’t know much. Got my new Whirlpool refrigerator and gas stove delivered and installed. Still need waterline to fridge. Got a new dishwasher drawer but my 20 year old one can’t be unhooked yet because the water valve won’t shut off. Also it’s hardwired in so will need my electrician to install a plug. I also have an over the range microwave ordered but it still hasn’t shipped.
